I think Berry is a good defender, just not quite the human glove gary makes him out to be. If you read his posts in the stats and stuff thread it was other people's fault that Berry wasn't able to guard Monk... including the refs.
Should clarify my statement he is a decent defensive player who is undersized and struggles when faced with with other good guards

I concur. He is a good defender. But if he goes up against someone who is 6'5 or 6'6 it's more difficult for him. That's why Theo is pretty crucial to the team. He's big enough, and quick enough to defend guys like Fox and Monk.

As I pointed out, there's more to Theos game than just offense. I'm not saying we would have won or not have won with him in the game, but he is a good defender and capable of going up against those kinds of guards.

As for Giles, I'll stick to my earlier statement. If he is 100% with no fall off in his ability, he should play. If he is changed at all, he should sit out the year. He could easily play himself out of any career at all.
The problem is they either need to sit him until he is completely ready to come in and contribute, or sit him out for the year. Nights like tonight where he only plays 4 minutes and literally does nothing, except looking really awkward and damaged, does nothing but hurt his draft stock. If I were his handlers I would be begging him to just sit out the year and really get healthy and in great shape. Then show up at the combine and show them you are healthy. Anymore nights like tonight and he is losing a ton of money.

Not really… bud. You are discounting two extremely good teams that would have advantages over UK.
If you said "I'd love it if UK were to beat UCLA and duke to win the title this year" I'd agree with you.
But if you win a title, you win a title, nobody even remembers who lost anyway.

Lol, you are really ignorant if you believe that. UCLA is a really good team, yes, but they aren't what you are making them out to be. We played a bad defensive game and missed a bunch of free throws. Correct either and we win. UCLA's offense isn't going to get much better, but our defense and mental lapses will. Duke, so far, is incredibly unimpressive. KU handled them pretty easily up until the end when they gave up a couple of dumb threes which made it look closer than it was. They didn't look good against Florida, penn st, Rhode Island or Michigan st. They have benefited from a weak *** schedule (almost as weak as your ingortant post) and home cooking. UNC, who by the way, lost to Villanova last year in the championship since you've already forgotten, looks way better so far than Duke. And we beat them. So sorry I'm not a gutless, spineless and cowardly fan like yourself. I would much rather play the other really good teams and beat them to win it all. I don't want excuses and weak brackets to determine the outcome. I'll leave that for you cowardly Duke fans. Now run along and suckle your mommies tit some more, big guy.

@KellenPatrick when you post every single post with something negative about Duke from several different boards it takes some of the magic away from this thread. The dramatics by many in the game threads is a little too much for me, so I stay out of them. You are correct though, the negativity in those threads is plentiful.
I've used it twice in the past month!

OK, back to THR. From ACokeForRoy (lol). They always talk about how difficult Roy's system is to learn. Well maybe he should dumb it down a bit then...

I've never taken part in the game threads for this very reason. It's like people have an out of body experience when posting during games. You'd think the world was ending when you go back and read them.
