Amazing how gary goes on for like two pages arguing about what the final score REALLY was of their little "secret scrimmage." It kills him to think they only won by 11 so he claims one of his "sources" told him it was actually 25+ just to make himself feel better about it. Needs to know they dominated when maybe they actually didn't. Why would he even care?? Because he is yet another sicko nut job over at THR.
I ventured over to RR to see what they thought of KU after their exhibition game last night. The majority thinks KU sucks and Duke's not much better. No wonder they have a meltdown when they don't win the championship. I think that they think they have another 40-0 team this year.
I watched that game last night because I wanted to watch josh Jackson play. He didn't do anything at all in the first half, but in the second half he showed signs of flashiness and ended up with 14 points. That legerald Vick guy looked pretty good as well.
keyersosay comparing Andrew Platek to Grayson Allen. Really? How does that happen? Grayson is a future first-round pick that averaged 21+ ppg for one of the premier teams in the country. Platek is a 3-star recruit that averaged less than 12 ppg and shot 36.9% from 3. Other than that, it's a spot-on comparison.
Ah the guy he reminds me of...without all the doochbaggery and obvious dirty ballplayer nature that is adored in Derm...is Gumby Mcflopper. He can shoot it, savvy, smart, decent passer.... handles??? TPFKAPFS here. These last few are in a thread asking who is better, Meeks, Hicks and Bradley or Jefferson, Bolden and Jeter. The OP conveniently leaves out Giles while claiming their 3 frontcourt guys are definitely better. Lol. A few actually do remind him about Giles though.

Coach K and Roy are both HOF coaches who do it a completely different way. Coach K's record speaks for itself here though. He plays guys who are ready to play. If you are not ready to play, you don't. This isn't a new age little league here. Not everyone gets playing time because they are a warm body. I am not saying what Roy does is wrong, he has his way and has distinguished himself as one of the best coaches of his generation, but to say K would be better off doing it that way is silly.
3 star recruits become 5 star recruits once they commit to unc. Just the commitment elevates them to NBA caliber. OFC
Makes sense. I mean, how could he not be an NBA caliber player under the guidance of Roy? And did you know Roy once coached a 4-star recruit that made it to the league? True story.
K plays his best hand....one thing with Roy is that his stars sometimes sit on the bench for large chunks of time....K doesnt do it that way....2 diff coaches ...2 diff philosophies...both very successful
There is a reason why Duke not only makes the tournament each and every year, but we are almost always a 1-3 seed. We play the players that are ready to play because it gives us the best chance to win each and every game. Maybe if Roy or Cal could identify the players that are game ready they wouldn't spend years in the consolations tournaments.

Correct. They can try and justify it or whatever helps them sleep at night to convince them that what Roy does and how he coaches is better than K, that's fine. Doesn't make it true, but that's part of the rivalry.
I'll stand by Coach K's 1000+ wins, 12 (i believe) final 4's, 5 National Championships, and countless lottery picks. I'll also take his former player's word for it too, so many so that you can't even count how many absolutely adore the man and look to him as a father figure to them.
I'm sure that is all part of his master 40 year manipulative plan though. It's like the Seinfeld episode where Kramer think's it's a conspiracy that made Mom & Pop run away with all of Jerry's shoes after being in the neighborhood for 60 years.
Another reason OAD types are on the fence about going to UNC. The best players do not always get the bulk of the minutes. On the flip side to that it is why the 3 and 4 star players like UNC (one reason anyway.) they know whether they are better than others or not doesn't necessarily matter. Roy plays everyone.
and at times, he sits a kid right after he just made a string of good plays.....K isnt going to take an on fire Brandon Ingram and sub him out for Jeter or Robinson, just because...or currently take a hot, keyed in tatum out, so jack can play

Yeah, sometimes I think Roy needs to be coaching high school ball and keeping the players and parents happy.
It is pretty funny to hear their obsession with K not playing a deep bench. Archer's obsession with last year's team is comical at best. He can't get over the fact that Vrank (not good enough), Obi (can barely walk) didn't play. Obi hasn't even suited up in either CTC or the exhibition games. Feel bad for the guy. He's also obsessed with this theory that K only played or said he had 5 guys, which isn't accurate. We in total had 7 and he played 6 very regular minutes until chase was ready to play. Call me stupid, but the point of games is to win them. The best way to win games was to play those 6 guys. sorry this isn't a socialist society where Luke Maye has to get minutes every game.

Have u read the thread called "poor Grayson Allen on RR"? It makes me sick the way they treat Grayson. I would rather have Grayson Allen any day than Derek Willis who was passed out laying in the road next to his car! Grayson owned up to his mistake and is ready to move on from the whole tripping ordeal. Everyone else should be able to as well. I agree that Grayson should have never done that but he did it and he owned up to it and is ready to move on. Oh. Yea he also attends class and is doing well in school.. something the UNcheat faithful would know nothing about. This is why I feel like I can never compliment a UK player or a UNcheat player. Those two fan bases never show our players any respect. Why I should I show respect for their players? I never will.

I believe the worst thing we have said about a tar hole player is calling Meeks a people eater saying he ate a player or something like that and how he eats so much and saying big Luke Maye looks like a wombat. The heels fans on THR call Grayson an ahole and horrible person, a pos and many other nasty things. I am proud to say that we have much more class on this board. It's like both fan bases are almost to the point that they wish harm on Grayson or Coach K and that's very disturbing to me considering one is just a basketball player and the other is just a basketball coach at the end of the day. I WOULD NEVER wish harm on any player or coach like both of those fan bases do. Really Really Sad!!
