Fathers with sons go to CWS....

I know it's not tonight's game but for the father's of younger kids out there, I highly recommend make the journey even for the early rounds to Omaha. I know I complained about the barstool Friday, but I had worked all Thursday night and not slept. But after getting a nap went to game on Friday morning. Sat very close, my son (10yo) was on the jumbotron twice, got a foul ball and even though the outcome wasn't what we wanted, he could stop talking about how much fun he had. Was lucky to get similar seats on the State side on Saturday. After a morning visit to the zoo and swimming at the hotel just dad and son, we went to Fridays game. He was as animated as I've ever seen him, doing the inflatable man dance, vet vocal cheering on the players by name, yelling ball 4 till his voice cracked (not hitting puberty yet)! Losing his mind when Leggett got his hit! Before the game he said to me he was going to give a foul ball to the 8 y/o sitting behind us from Omaha and the second on he got in the game to his sister. Have to be honest I teared up when Cheese through him a foul from third and he promptly turned and gave it to the boy behind us. After the incredible win, he got to meet Mccleod, P. Johnson and Leggett in the hotel lobby after the game and they signed his first foul ball, he has had it close to him since as if it's the holy grail. I know I'm rambling but I made memories we will never forget and saw him grow quite a bit and become a fanatical MSU baseball fan, so I'll take the curse with the lifelong memories. Now let's go out there and start our championship series with a win, Let's go Dawgs!!!!! MARRRROOOOOOOONNNNNN.......

Absolutely. I was fortunate to take my 11 y/o to the regionals, supers, and first week of CWS. At home now getting ready to watch the game. He couldn’t name a handful of players before this - now he’s got the whole team made on his Xbox / super mega baseball. Got a foul ball in the regionals, been on ESPN a few times, got his pic with Simmons & Phillips during Friday’s rain delay (huge thanks to those guys!), and made memories to last a lifetime.

Treasure these guys. I never was into baseball at all. But my dad was in a medically induced coma from which he would never return when we got here in 2013. That's when I started watching because I was stuck in a hotel in Pensacola with nothing else to do since visiting hours were so limited in ICU. So my only memory of MSU baseball with him was telling him about the games.

I can never work out baseball with my son but we do everything football. Plus financially I really need to pick one.
