WV needs him to protect the ACA. Other than that, he is a Republican
The ACA was the worst piece of **** law passed ever. You must be on medicaid, the only group of people that were increased under the ACA. Nothing that was supposed to happen did, it was all bad.

After Trump went after him like he did....I wouldn't expect Manchin to be very friendly to him now.

Name one politician that doesn't do the same. I was surprised that Morrissey made it as close as it was.

Good point but not to the level of Manchin. The Senator from ND voted on Kavanaugh that was brave. Manchin did the weakest thing I have seen in a very long time. And what makes it worse, most that pay attention knew he would coward out and put his vote on the winning side after his brave colleagues made their votes. He does it constantly.

I guess it depends on ones party affiliation on how we interpret "brave". One might think that someone who casts the only yea vote instead of marching in lockstep might be considered "brave".

Wrong. Being brave in this context has nothing to do with party affiliation. Has everything to do with voting one' s conscience and substantiating that vote with a reason. That isn't what Manchin has done in many instances with the Kavenaugh vote being the latest.

Respectfully disagree......you telling me that all the Dems and Repubs that voted strictly on party lines should be considered "brave"? Context has nothing to do with it....looks to me like Ol Joe was the only one that voted his conscience....he basically supported Kavanaugh all through the process. Manchin would still have defeated Morrissey if he had voted against Kavanaugh.

It kept him his job.... but... he also voted for Kavanaugh because he knew it was a witch hunt. He didn't believe that Kavanaugh did what he was accused of. May not settle well with you or others, but that's the truth.

That's ********. He decided to vote yes once the outcome was settled. You call that brave?

He voted for what he felt was right. He could have stepped into line with his party......but choose to vote his consistence. You actually think Morrissey would have won had Manchin voted against Kavanaugh.......You don't know Joe.

Both were at the Baylor game.

Manchin was in the stadium like a real fan while Morrisey and his Rutgers ilk were running around the Blue Lot shouting 'Joe Must Go'

He would have most definitely lost had he voted against Kavanaugh. He knew there was no legitimate reason to vote against him, but was facing HUGE pressure from his party to toe the line.

You mean the senator from ND believed a lie? Not a shining moment as we have started to see for the gullibility of senators on the left.

getting shown the door. Well done WV

Paper, that might be the only thing we've agreed on years. I haven't liked that pudgy little stooge since he showed up here. He might as well have "For Sale" tattooed on his forehead.

Did you take you meds today or do you just miss getting your key fobs and fridge magnets ? I think you are confusing him with the "good ol boy" he replaced as AG.
