Burks seemed to have the match won with a 4 point lead but seemed to freeze with shots and ended on his stomach and his opponent then spun around to get takedowns with no reaction by Burks and got 2 extra with a leg lace.
Surber takes 7th with a 10-0 tech fall at 160. Harley, I agree Burks had the match under control but faded at the end.We have moved up in team standings due to our outstanding consolations run and are tied with California with 34 points. Illinois has wrapped it up with 64 points at this point, Ohio with 49, Mizzou with 45, Iowa at 40 and Pa. at 39.

Doucet loses 0-10 to Lautt from Ks on a Takedown and 4 gut wrenches. Lautt is definitely the physical specimen of the tournament. He is a big "Lout".
Plott loses 8-2 to Assad. He have up his legs too easily and Assad was able to block most of his high crotch attempts.
Plott lost and he deserved to lose with a plan that was questionable and his leg defense was not good and then when he got on Assad's legs he could not finish. He needs to develop some offense moves besides his outside single.
If only he had a chance to work with some high level coaches.....
Plott best him a few weeks ago 4-2. Both are very talented wrestlers who came through a brutal bracket.
Plott is going to be fine. The one thing Okie State does better than everyone else in this country is setups to both sides.
Flo mentions Dickerson as an Ou recruit in their article on which college won Fargo. Not surprising since we bested Iowa with 6 AAs compared to 4 AAs
Highest number of recruits who AA’d with 6. That’s without Witcraft, Mastro or Balmeceda.
Wiley from Mustang also won Greco. Leaves Fargo as a double champ. Picklo was runner up and pinned the guy who beat him in freestyle.
Manibog took 5th in Greco, Christian Forbes wrestling for 3rd at 100, and Braxton Amos at 220 is in the finals at 220 wrestling Jace Punke of Il. He defeated Lautt of Kansas 8-1 in semis and this was the only point scored against him as otherwise hehad 10-0 tech falls. Cabe Dickerson is wrestling for 5th at 220#.
Braxton Amos defaulted to Punke in the 1st place match due to a gimpy knee. He was limping noticeably when he went out to shake hands and default. Jakason Burks took third with a 10-0 tech fall. Christian Forbes was 4th at 100 and T.J. Long took 6th at 126.
