Yep I thought thst too until I saw a guy standing in front of me on a flight to Ontario. Right as he was handing his phone to the ticket agent- the phone died. We were in the last boarding group. So he was to hustle to get his phone charged up so he could retrieve it and get on the plane. What a hassle- I’ll pass on that. I’m having fun pregame not worrying about how much juice I have in my phone.
and I like my collections of cool paper tickets of old-
You can get paper boarding passes if you choose

At zero cost.

Getting paper season tickets at Nebraska it is $100. I have a smart phone but I’m sure there are a number of older loyal fans who do not have a smart phone and or don’t know how to put the tickets on their phone. Buy no worries we know the University cares little about their loyal fans fan experience

That is understandable, if the $100 cost doesn’t bother you then it’s all good. Hopefully they don’t bump it to $200

How do you know that all the people that get paper tickets are bitching about the 100 dollars? Oh that’s right you don’t.

I’ll see how things play out the first few games before I decide if I want to go to a game this year. I live in central Iowa and driving 3 and a half hours one way for substandard football is a big commitment if not borderline masochistic.

I've never been to a HOME Husker football game. Thats a bucket list item for me. Experiencing that atmosphere would be a dream come true for me. To hear locals take on this is crazy to me. Man, I love football so much, I'm, going to an NC State game this year just because why not lol

Never said I did—“a number” which is what I said is not all. It means some- not “all”. All means everyone-“ a number “ which is what I said means a few- hope that helps. Learn how to read or at least go back and get your GED

But the people in line in front of me talking to each other about it seemed pretty pissed.
we know the university through its actions cares little about the fan experience- they are too busy lining their pockets and figuring out how to get more of their buddies on the payroll- they can get onto the grift.

When my wife and fly I always print a paper boarding pass. About every fouth trip she has trouble with the electronic one and holds up the line while the gate attendant has to figure out why her machine won’t read it 🤣
Me too / about 25 flights per year for about 20 years. Always printed 2 copies, I never want to bother with the phone ticket

It’s called hearing- they were bitching to each other and others in line about the $100. You’re really not good at this. I said “they were talking to each other about it” which means they were talking to each other about the $100. Me saying they were talking about it- means I heard them talking about it. Wow you’re dense

it's 2026---women are allowed to vote now. and E tickets are a norm.
that's a shame.. much of the rest of the world still uses paper, except Singapore.. they do face scans now, and it's slower than just scanning a paper ticket.. the weird part is, how did they get your face image in the first place?.. not a single face scan I saw failed.

If AD allows the sell-out streak to end his time at NU is officially over. I assume he will beg/borrow/and steal to get it done...but everybody knows what is going on and like OSU in 2021, people just won't show up in the stadium and empty seats don't lie.
Unfortunately with that great money saving extension from last year. Nebraska would have to go like 3-10 to get rid of Matt Rhule. I suppose they could get rid of the AD. He has said some really inflammatory thing recently. Wonder if he wants to be fired.

I assume the board and president are equally bad if this thing has been so bad for so long. I kind of think there needs to be a break between the university and this whole things needs to become for profit with an ownership group. Rhule makes nearly twice as much as an average NFL coach because half the revenue is from charity and the money can basically just be burned by people with no skin in the game. I don't necessarily love professional owners but I think this is how bad college has become in terms of respecting the money of the fans. And college fans have to be the dumbest people in the world.

Universities are the epitome of over pay and underperform- it is the golden goose says two friends who couldn’t believe their good fortune of softly landing in that setting. No concept of responsibility when spending other people’s money
