I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure the faculty gets more than just one sectionWe had much bigger issues than faculty/staff selling tickets yesterday. The whole east side was 50% orange, not just one section.
Please sir, kindly point out in this photo from yesterday which of these thousands of orange shirts are sitting in faculty seats? Is our faculty section that large? Hell no it's not. Faculty pays for their tickets and for the first time ever that I've heard they paid a premium seat fee just like everybody else. Please offer up your solution to this perceived faculty problem, otherwise go pound sand and rocks with Moorheadwe gotta do something about the faculty selling tickets

Sorry to disappoint you but nope, I'm not a faculty member, did you not see the photo I took and where it was taken from? Last time I looked online at seating charts faculty had maybe 2 or 2.5 sections on lower level East side, that's it. Look at the photo again now and tell us how the faculty seats went to all those orange shirts all the way across all those other lower sections and all those upper level seats. Don't forget to offer up your solution too.Found a faculty member!
if they are paying full price, good. They should be.
but I’d be willing to be 50% of faculty tickets were sold to someone and mostly UT fans.
2 sections is right in the heart of your photoSorry to disappoint you but nope, I'm not a faculty member, did you not see the photo I took and where it was taken from? Your 89 IQ hasn’tSTFU you tool this has already been debunked.
The ticket office knows which seats are sold third-party and monitors it.Found a faculty member!

Seems like they are on it. Good for them. The ticket office knows which seats are sold third-party and monitors it.
What action they will take based on that information, I don’t know. Assuming demand is up next year they will be in a better position to do something about it.
The rumor last year/earlier this year was they were moving faculty/staff to section 1/2, but I don’t know what happened with that.
So put them on the west side in the seats that get shade and bump the section 1/2 folks to the east side so they can pay more to bake in the sun?The rumor last year/earlier this year was they were moving faculty/staff to section 1/2, but I don’t know what happened with that.
What about all the other sections, how are you punishing them for selling theirs, they were 5x more orange than in just faculty seats? You act like these are in person transactions and you can control who you sell to. You act like our own ticket office screens buyers. Do you know how this works or not? Get over yourself2 sections is right in the heart of your photo
The other sections are where a lot of tickets weren’t sold preseason
it’s real simple
either move faculty tickets to upper deck or charge them the same amount as the ticket cost on west side. Donation and all!
You must not have read the part about many of the other sections being where tickets weren’t sold as season tickets so they were available. What about all the other sections, how are you punishing them for selling theirs, they were 5x more orange than in just faculty seats? I don’t disagree with anything you said, but section 21 was 80% orange.I'm on staff at MSU and I've gotten 8 tickets for 15+ years. If we aren't there, an MSU fan is in my seats. I can say that the Faculty section is only Section 21 and get a 15% discount on 2 tickets only, all other tickets are full price. There is also a $125 donation per ticket to the Bulldog Club this year and $250 per ticket starting next year. Selling tickets is absolutely a problem, but it's NOT only faculty.
You aren’t getting the same price as 50 yard line on west side. Its behind visitors bench not ours and you eat the sun the entire time. Our family has tickets on both side of stadium and my older parents can’t eat that sun. Just can’t do it. If the game isn’t at night or they can’t get on the other side they aren’t coming. We don’t sell to visitors though. Ha.I don’t disagree with anything you said, but section 21 was 80% orange.
those are 50 yard line tickets
They should cost the exact same as 50 yard line tickets on the west side
Costing the same as the west side is unrealisticYou aren’t getting the same price as 50 yard line on west side. Its behind visitors bench not ours and you eat the sun the entire time. I know it’s sixpack cool to make fun of the sun being a reason. I’m not trying to argue either way. I’m just telling you it’s a real problem for an aging fan base.
Dude comes on here spouting off and doesn't even know any details about F&S seating or prices.STFU you tool this has already been debunked.
Ha. State didn't even sell all the inventory in section 21 this year with $125 requirement. If you bump that up to $600 per seat requirement you'll have an empty section. I bet State sells even less next year in 21 when they bump the requirement up $250 per seat.I don’t disagree with anything you said, but section 21 was 80% orange.

Sold “all” their tickets, huh? How can that even be measured. That’s how you know there is a narrative being spun.
Bottom line is, we just didn’t sell enough tickets for a variety of reasons, and those tickets find their way to the secondary market. And UT obviously has a higher demand than we do and was willing to pay more per capita.
You're right, sounds like we need to move their section since only faculty can get prime seats there, they don't buy them all, and at least half sells them.Ha. Hell there are unsold seats in section 4 this year.

Man then I really feel sorry for all those people in Baton Rouge, Knoxville, College Station, Ann Arbor etc. who have to listen to 100,000 fans screaming in their ears for entire games. I never knew how rough they had it.How many of the aging fan base don't show up because it's too painful to have a cowbell ringing in their ear for four hours? I know of a few.
90 % of the faculty section was Tennessee fans. All of those were not on the open market. It's not the faculty selling the tickets. The Tennessee tickets were bought on the open market - a lot through the State ticket office. As I said before - a number of faculty didn't renew because they started charging a seat license fee this year to faculty and staff which thus increased the season ticket price.
FactsThe faculty should be moved to the east side upper deck. They are not the only problem but to deny they are a problem is ridiculously stupid.
