or RAC (AC install..clap,clap) exist? "Shovels in ground" in 1-2-3 yrs.? I know state
is kicking in $25M for "parking" but have not heard how hings are moving.Yes, I have
sent $$ (enough for 3/4 basketballs anyway). Thanks

I don't know why any of our great local reporters didn't ask Hobbs for an update on facilities. It seems like a perfect time to ask.

1) Because coach isn't concerned about the timetable at THIS moment. He has bigger things to take care of and it's not his question to answer.

2) Hobbs has already stated there will be a presser/announcement in April. Politi knows this so F* him.

I thought Politi asked coach and he answered around it.
Steve asked if Pikiell received and assurances on the facilities being approved and if he could win as the facilities currently are. Pikiell basically said he is happy with the facilities and he is excited that they are being improved. If what Nuts says is true (April presser on facilities) then that would be reason not to ask for an update. Thanks

He danced around answering as he should.

In January, Hobbs said he hopes to have the engineering site plan done this spring & hopefully break ground within a year later, so we're looking at mid to late 2017, at the earliest, before we will break ground, which puts completion sometime in 2018 or 2019. Hopefully, not later.

They are asking alumni to buy a brick to jump start the new building. And no, you will not be allowed to put your name on the brick since these will actually be used in making the facility.

Pikeil didn't dance around it. He told it like it is.

Said he saw the plans and knows facilities upgrades are coming in the future so that will be exciting when it happens.

He then basically said he wasn't worried about it. He's played in gyms with leaky roofs and the team won. It's basketball. Get players, coach them, and win. If you win, the fans will come and the RAC will be packed.

The facility updates are inevitable. Give it a break. Get a team together to ball and win. The facility excuse is hogwash. Pickiell basically didn't feed into the Politi crap.

Pikiell just said on WOR that we're breaking ground on the practice facility this summer.
