PSU and OSU fans happy to see all the good in Coach Ash and want to see him stick around...not sure if serious, or just enjoying another 4 years of intra-division shutouts.
I don't care what Rutgers does, Ohio State is still going to be good. I genuinely want Chris Ash to be successful, though, so I'm rooting for him to turn Rutgers into a passable Big Ten team, at the very least.

He switched OC... different OC.., different plays and schemes: same players, equals same results. He can get another OC again, it won't make a damn bit of difference without better players.
Come on, we've gone through 9 in 9 years. Give Kill a chance. He doesn't have the depth of players yet. His players are learning yet another new offense. I gather for the seniors, that would be their fourth offense to learn. Neither side has the depth yet. Look at who got hurt recently and who was put in. Not the kids' fault, just not ready to perform at a high level.

Our most talented players are mostly freshman, they are not ready yet, but they are here thanks to Ash.
This is very true. We need more like the ones Ash is bringing in so we have depth in positions to rotate out.

That is mostly due to Flood fighting over FCS schools for players for years as whatever GS built was burned to the ground.
I know some people will just say" stop blaming flood, derp!"
But, sorry this is where we are at right now and that is why.
If we don't see improvement in the next few years then Flood will no longer be to blame, period.
Does everyone realize how many players we lost due to all the illegal junk these players did? Flood also killed what we had as a reputation with his actions. We are starting fresh. I see the only bad decision Ash has made (ok, don't go crazy please) is hiring Drew Mehringer. He set this program back. He didn't want to use what we had and change things gradually. We had mostly Flood's recruits last year and Ash was able to get a few of his own, but that was so late in the game. This year, we got a pretty good recruiting class. If Ash keeps that up next year, we should be that much better. From what I saw, our kids played their hearts out against Washington for almost three quarters and we kept that game close. Maybe reading way too much into it, but EVERYONE said we are going to crush EMU. Players read this crap and they also talk smack in the locker room and dorms. They didn't play with that passion. EMU did. And when EMU did, that just ramped up their motivation. Any team is beatable on any given day.

In two years, if we have not improved, then we start to think about the coach. How can you fire a coach for not performing when he inherited a fired coach's team. We've only had a year and a half of recruiting and I think he's done a great job, especially with our record.

IMHO, consistency within the coaching ranks and then we possibly improve. Getting good recruiting classes will help improve.

thanks for stopping bye. Nice to hear a perspective from a college football fan(of a top program)outside of loser State Penn fans who just troll here.
Make sure you guys beat Meechegan and State Penn!..

Sorry, sport. I can't "see" what you "say." I can "read" what you "write," though. Anyway, thanks again for visiting and for sharing. We're all much better off for it. Obviously we have much to learn from you.
Not as much as I have to learn from you clearly. I mean, it takes a great intellect to make a pretentious argument about the exact meaning of words vs. words with easily understood meaning in context, while at the same time adding nothing to the discussion. You really got me there.

I was responding to someone questioning the intent of my comments. I think Rutgers is improved this year. I wish to continue to see them improve. Somehow this is offensive to at least two of you.
