Expectations for final 6 games

The men have some tough games down the stretch but some winnable ones too. What is a fair expectation to have in the final 6 games? I have to think 0-6 would be pretty disappointing for all here but would 1-5 be a letdown too? I would be thrilled with 2 wins.

3-3 is awesome. They’ve won 2 more road games than I thought possible. If they knock off Iowa tomorrow than all bets are off

I would sign on for two wins right now though as many as 4 are on the table......going to write off MSU and Iowa as losses

beat Penn State and either Iowa/Minny

RU will be favored in only 1 I think

Go 6-0 and then win 3 games in the big tourney and we dance. Also if my aunt had balls shed be my uncle.

Sign me up for 2-4 and 1-1 in the big tourney and id be a happy man who would go into 2019-2020 with legit tourney aspirations

Thinking we should beat Minnesota and penn state at home would be realistic expectations . Think we have like a 40-45 percent chance tomorrow and outside chance at Indiana on road but not likely since they may be desperate for wins to get in tourney . I’m hoping we get two and would be extactic with 3.

PSU is must win and “should win”

Minny is not good on the road, we should beat them

MSU and Iowa on the road are losses. That’s 2-2.

So the tossups are Iowa at home and Indiana on the road. We are underdogs tomorrow, and will be underdogs against the Hoosiers, but both games are winnable. I say we split these two games.

3-3

if we win one more game and it is Penn State, I will be OK. Anything beyond that is gravy. Gotta beat the Lions.

you are not respecting Minny at all, we didnt have Gene the first time, but they absolutely crushed us and jellied on us. This will be a tough game, they are playing for a ncaa tourney bid.

Not saying minni will not be a tough game because they all are but I like our chance at home and think our guys will be out for blood against them for showboating the first time a round . I am sitting a few rows back of minni bench in that game and plan on giving little rickie the business . Also possibly Isiahh Washington too

I think 2-4 is attainable... even that requires upsetting one team (assuming RU is favored at home vs PSU). 3-3 would definitely be exciting and I think it can be done if they overachieve (2/3 at home and 1 more on the road?). It should also set them up well in the Big 10 tourney.

Personally I try not to look too far ahead. So many things can change from game to game. Right now let's just hope we can knock off Iowa at the RAC
At this point, you go one game at time. The future of getting to post season is going to be protecting the home court. The RAC will will wild tomorrow and we have to be loud and get our team pumped to suffocate the Hawkeyes with pressure defense. You cant give them an inch.

I’m not saying Iowa isn’t good but they are very beatable at the RAC. Our guys will be focused and ready. I think it’s a convincing win tomorrow for Rutgers. We need to find a way to finish at least .500. That would be a huge accomplishment.

While we're dreaming, I think 6-0 and 2-1 in the B1G tournament could get it done. That would put us at 20-13 overall, 9-1 in our final ten games of the year, making it to the tournament finals, and wins over multiple ranked teams in that hot streak.

Right now I'd say I would be content with 2-4 if we also got the 1st round bye and won at least one in the tournament. But if we win tomorrow and only win one (or zero) more of the final five, I would be disappointed. I'd love to see us find a way to finish at .500 or better somehow. (Oh, for that Fordham game again...)

Hoping for 3 wins - Penn State at home, Hoosiers (They've not played well at Assembly Hall) and 1 of Iowa/Minny at home.

Just watching NW lose in the last second to Iowa in Iowa City last weekend, gives me hope. Truth is this Conference has become completely unpredictable. Every night is a Rock Fight.

Alex, I’ll take Rutgers for 2-4 and 2 deep in the B1G tourney...

Each game is a building block to the next and Rutgers will be facing teams that will be battling for NCAA bids and tournament seedings.Penn State will be the only game where Rutgers will be a slim favorite.Grind out games with low scoring gives Rutgers a chance for upsets.

Consider the schedule folks. Home to #21 Iowa, on the road at #11 MSU, home to a very good MN team that blew us out, on the road to that same Iowa team, then home to PSU and on the road at Indiana.

I'll say I think winning 2 is reasonably possible and would make me very happy (but only 1 is possible, even if we play decently) and winning 3 is slightly possible and would be phenomenal. Anything beyond that is theoretically possible (hell, we could win all 6 and go to the Final Four, lol), but shouldn't be counted on in any way. Finishing 3-3 to go 15-15/8-12, after not having finished at 0.500 since friggin' 05-06 under Waters (had to look that up - didn't realize it's been 13 years!!) and having not ever won more than 3 B1G games, would put Pike in contention for B1G COTY.

Win today and I say 3 & 3
Lose today 2 & 4, but this team could surprise and get 3 either way.

You're right about that. No game is a gimme and no game is an automatic loss, except maybe on the road to MSU, although they did lose their best player to injury and are 2-3 in their last 5, so...

A road win at MSU is unlikely obviously but I'm not ruling it out. We seem to always play MSU tough
