To out very soon. Good hire IMO.

Why post this .. without a name? Just brings back those Coach34 "I got inside info" posts ..

Coach34 on 03/10/12 at 9:14 AM .. Stansbury's buddies have got him one last season, and he gets to go out a loser.
Coach34 on 03/14/12 at 10:14 AM .. My last Stansbury post on SPS until next March
Coach34 on 03/26/12 08:42 AM .. and Dale- I can promise you ... We're not about to hire Kenny F'ing Payne or Joe Dooley either
Coach34 03/27/12 10:46 AM .. OK Strick- Groce is gone- I say we go the Kenny F'ing Payne route
Shaka has stars in his eyes- I get that
I dont know wtf is up with Marshall- I wish you would leak that because I'm curious
Illinois screwed us on Groce- that decision is understandable too
Let's go with the Payne

Those were the days. The days where someone could be 100% wrong but always be right.

He was coaching at Southern Arkansas while I was there. Had one of the best pitching rotation in division 2 thanks to him. He's an amazing recruiter and coach. To get top players to come to south Arkansas should speak volumes. Magnolia, Arkansas would be like going to college in Louisville

Seems like a good hire. Either him or the CSF coach were my first choice. So, we got 1B instead of 1A. No real difference. And we're probably likely to get more recruits with his Texas connections than we would have with the other guy's California connections.

Magnolia does have a Flying Burger.

Hm. I thought he was younger than that. That says he's got a couple kids in their 20s.

Yes they do and it's amazing. Other than that they have an average steak place and a few fast food places. Apparently they're getting a bar so that's huge for the college students that are into that

The country club serves a pretty good ribeye if you can get in (i.e. know somebody).

Isnt that right across the line from Springhill, LA? If so, I've been thru there a time or two.

Yeah unfortunately as a college student there I didn't know many "Magnolians" outside of the students so I didn't get to enjoy the country club. And yes it is right across the line from Springhill, La. They were a wet county so there were trips made to JJ's there pretty frequently

I wouldn't be surprised, if

Butch does a decent job at AU, he got a look if Cohen ends up failing in the next couple of seasons.
