OK, so we went to OT and the offense couldn't score and threw a pick. Everybody bitching about not going for the win at the end. Nobody thinks that maybe the defense could have stopped the QB run they killed us with all gane in overtime? Or stopped a 4 yard run they won the game on?

Defense folded the past 2 weeks when it mattered.

Well, it’s difficult to tackle when the opposing QB lathers himself in lubricant.

Dude, the offense scored only twice prior on their first two drives. The did nothing for almost three quarters. Can’t play that many snaps and expect stellar defense.

They held Wisconsin to 17 points. A $1.4 million dollar coordinator should be able to scheme his offense to score more than 17 against a defense that's given up 20+ pts in half their games entering tonight.

There were two plays that changed the game. The first was NU failing to convert 4th and 1 early in the 2nd quarter. I agree with going for it - but very disappointing we can’t get one frigging yard. Go up 17 or 21-0 there….NU probably wins.

The second was on UW’s 2nd possession in the 2nd half. Wright had Mordecai dead in his sights for what looked like an easy sack. It would have been 3rd and 18…instead, Mordecai somehow got out of the sack and got a first down. UW took the lead a few plays later.

But yeah - A LOT of 3rd and longs got converted.

Putting this on the D. The offense finally does something and we let them crawl back in and we couldn't stop them when it mattered. Just like last week and the week before. Pass defense sucks.

They weren’t up to there usual sold play was disappointing and again no turnovers
The OL was the weak area in this game when it counted. The OL got crushed on that 4th and 1. Then there were a bunch of killer penalties that stalled drives when it counted.

The defense played well enough to win the game tonight, but it was painful how small they came up in overtime. The effort was pathetic in the extra.time....

I will bang this drum forever. 4th and 1, you go play action there, you go over the top for a TD. Game over. It is without a doubt the way to go there, especially with this team.

With our QBs, RBs, young WRs and OL?

Defense has given up big scores when it matters the past few weeks... that said I still place most of the blame on the offense. Failing to score more than 17 points in a game since October 28th simply isn't acceptable. Can't expect the defense to hold out indefinitely.

Haven’t you seen?

Our DC is up for awards
Well, they held Wisconsin to 17 in regulation. Problem is the offense can't score 20. Bad night tackling for sure. And yes White is up for Broyles award. But if it were up to you we would fire the entire coaching staff, move back to Big 12 and build a statue to Haarberg for being the worst QB in NU history. Keep living in fantasy land Top Rambo Kong!!😂

The defense did fold when it mattered, but I wouldn’t give them the overall blame, they played just fine. It’s the small things, like Javin completely fvcking whiffing on a wide open sack that gave them huge momentum back.
The busted coverage from Gbayor that allowed the TD. Two huge singular plays that cost us.

You can’t say that overall the D played bad, they did ok IMO.

I do hope Ty stays but I feel he might declare.

Same thing happened last week against Maryland on the pass interference. Play on their last drive that was a third and long and we had the quarterback in our sites on a blitz. He somehow got out of it pass interference they going to win the game when we’ve got a shot at the quarterback, these defensive players need to be able to bring them down.
