On a scale of 1-10 what was your excitement level about this Florida game at this time last Friday versus today. Mine was probably redlining on a 10 this time last week, and sitting on a soft 6 today.

Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to being in the stadium and watching the game, but the passion for this game and really this season in general has taken a huge hit. Hoping to wake up tomorrow morning with a better attitude.

It’s definitely not a 10 for me any longer, but I’d give it a solid 8. Maybe I’m putting too much stock in one game, but I feel like our entire season is pretty much riding on this game now. Win, and we could get back on track. Lose, and I can see 6-6

More than my excitement being less, it's just different now. Same level of anxiousness but now it's a nervous "what if we look as bad as last week and that's who we really are?" feeling instead of "man, I hope we win by 50 instead of just 28."

From that standpoint I've probably gone from a 9 to a 10. Because if we lose...

I stepped away from CFB until Wednesday, and my "excitement" slowly crept up to about an 8—until I listened to T&L. When Joel T started pumping the breaks hard at the prediction portion and HD6 was right here with him, I crashed down to a 5.

An unexpected loss kills the rest of the day for me. With so many good games (OSU-Penn State, ND-Stanford), I'd hate to call it a night by 7:30.

Was down to a 2 last Sunday morning and had decided not to even go. Came up to around a 5 on Wednesday. Changed my mind and decided to go to the game and will probably peak at around a 7.

Just don't have much confidence after what I saw on the field last Saturday night

Last Friday: 8.4 Today: 4

I agree we have a lot of great parts and pieces of a team - lots of NFL potential - I just haven't seen it assembled into anything functional yet, a job that should've been handled before last Saturday. Our performance in Lexington wouldn't beat any SEC team.

Drawing UC and pre-snap penalties aren't things I feel confident we'll fix, either. Stupid is a carpet stain that's hard to get out. From our senior quarterback getting himself suspended with whatever he did months ago, to going on and on with the jawing until UC penalty flags flew Saturday, that's a long time for the stain to set in.

If it's not at least an 8, then you're trying too hard to not be excited, or just lying. By this point, we can all see and understand what happened last Saturday. I mean, the odds said we'd likely lose one game between Kansas State and Kentucky. Beyond the obvious Mullen stuff, we are going to learn a ton about this team from this game. That is exciting in its own regard.

Not to mention this is just a great overall day for college football, from top to bottom.

Biggest thing for me is that before KY this game was mostly about Mullen, after KY Mullen isn't even really on my mind. This is now a critical game that we HAVE to win. If we lose I won't care about what Mullen says about it because our season will be over for all intents and purposes. In fact, if we lose this game I could easily see us getting on a 5 game losing streak given Auburn, LSU and Texas A&M are the next 3 up. I would put my excitement level at about a 3, my anxiety level at about a 9.

I think you can be fearful of what a loss would mean but still really excited about the opportunity to bounce back by shoving it down Mullen’s throat.

I’m at a 9 or 10. The loss to Kentucky kept this week from being a lot like Auburn week in 2014, but it’s still one of the most anticipated games in school history.

If you’re not fired up now, just wait until you see Mullen getting off the bus doing a gator chomp in an orange and blue tie. Then you’ll be good to go.

Yeah I just read the Dellenger article and that helped a little. I think the biggest difference between last Friday and today is the "what if" anticipation I had last week. All of our hopes and dreams were still in front of us. Noone is beating Bama this year so at very best we are 10-2 which still isn't good enough to get us into a playoff. We're still playing for a chance at a NY6 game, and that fires me up.

Yeah that sounds like my issue as well. My confidence in this coaching staff has taken a dip. CJM showed no ability to adjust at any point during the game last weekend. For as much as I'm hoping the players have improved this week, I'm more hopeful that the coaching staff took that L personally. CJM did not coach a good enough game to beat most SEC opponents, and I want him angry and ready to prove a point.

I'm much more anxious than excited. We should win, but I'm not positive we do. If we win, great. If we lose though, it will get ugly this season

IF I see we bounce back then I will be excited. I just had a LOT of faith in this staff as a whole, and to be honest, they coached like deer in headlights last weekend. Bad gameplan, no adjustments during the game, no taking advantage of things where KY would have been vulnerable, no control of the team, etc. If I see that was really a total aberration then I will regain my excitement for this game and this season. I'm also very concerned about the OL coaching right now. I know we have improved in the recruiting part of our OL coach (wouldn't take much) but concerned that on the field the coaching has taken a step down. I'm sure MJ is a great guy (even being a Reb) but he is by no means a proven quantity as a coach.

If we lose, the meltdown will be unparalleled, but we will cross that bridge when we get there and I personally don’t want to have to face that reality anyway, so I might as well be excited for this weekend like I have been since the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

5, and I wish that wasn’t the case. It’s like someone stuck Jackie’s last few teams and Croom’s playbook in a blender and the result took the field last Saturday. Painful. Hopefully the coaching staff gets it together.

I'm sitting around a 3. Last week probably an 7. The older I get, the less

I've become excited about football or sports in general. I still enjoy watching college football, but I realize how much other stuff I need to be doing or could be doing with my spare time (what little I have). A game like last week's game would've upset me for weeks when I was in college but hardly bothers me now.

I'll just say if we lose, JoMo's tenure in Starkville may not be too long. And for good reason. He inherited a team with a lot of NFL talent, won 9 games te year before without many personnel losses. If he can't win and win big wit this roster, he deserves to go.

What odds said that?

Kansas State is garbage, and prior to last Saturday we’ve lost to Kentucky only twice in the past decade. Odds say we should win both of those.

right now it's low and doesn't really matter...i don't dislike florida gators...BUT, PUT A COWBELL IN MY HAND TOMORROW AFTERNOON, AND IT'S CRANK UP THE ENOLA GAY!
IT'S NOT PERSONAL...IT'S BUSINESS!

AND i'll treat Moorhead the same if i hear his agent throwing his name in the pot for every D-1 job opening in December.

If you can't do math, you should probably not talk about odds. 74% chance in both the Kansas State and Kentucky games. That means there is a 55% chance (near 50/50) that we win both.

Theoretically you could say that since it's 55%, then technically the "odds are" that we win both, by 5%. But that's not the point, and that's not really reading the prediction accurately. It was always a coin flip whether we won those two games, from the beginning.

What happened in the last decade is totally meaningless.

Was a 10 last week, now apathy has set in and I am at a solid 2. I'm going to the game with the hopes that the excitement will return when I get in the crowd and the cowbells start to ring.

2-3. I haven’t been able to turn on a sports show since I turned off the tv Saturday night. We didn’t handle a very physical defense well Saturday night. If it’s one thing Grantham is going to have is a physical defense.

A soft 3. If we lose tomorrow I’m out on this staff and I’ve already got 1 foot out the door. This was a once a decade or so chance at being a special team. Take advantage or take the nearest exit.

About a 7.5 right where it always is. I don't lose sleep whining over a loss and I don't stay up all night celebrating if we win. It's a game. BTW I would have HATED to have some of you guys on any team that I was a part of. Down by 2 runs in the second inning, you're done. Down by a touchdown in the 3rd, you're done. Down by 5 with 1 min to go on the hardwood, you're done.
I enjoy following this page for good humor at times, but man, I feel for some of you going through this severe depression.

4.... Players and Coaches shat the bed and destroyed what could have been a TOP 5 MSU moment this weekend...... MSU/SEC media oversold this team and coaching staff.....if we win by 40 I will be a 5.... if we lose, no matter by how much I will be a 0.
