Russ Smith was a stand up guy when I met him.

Growing up in NKY, I couldn't stand UC basketball. Their fans created some weird rivalry with UK for some reason. I hated UC until I met a few of their players at my restaurant. All good guys and seem very down to earth.

Hung out with both of them numerous times and they both are class acts. Along with Luke Hancock, Peyton Siva, Kyle Kuric, Chris Redman, Eric Wood, etc. Great guys and family men who care about their communities.

Lol Luke Hancock is not a stand up guy he’s milking everyone for all their worth and a prick even in college. Kuric is the nicest dude you’d ever meet we still keep in touch about stocks and are friendly. Siva is 50/50 for me he was a very sore loser in fifa when he was your Best friend before idk maybe small man syndrome or call it competitive edge. I was good at fifa, 2k and madden tho and everyone wanted to beat me. I’d just keep picking up their 20s lol. Deng is by far the best at fifa had to really focus against him. There were some nights I’d just play him best out of 7 in fifa 20-100 a piece.

Chane behannon dated a girl in HS his fresh or sophomore year. We all thought that was weird. I smoked a lot of weed with him and Kevin ware. Minardi consistently smelled like weed. Nobody ever cared. We mostly just smoked GBs and bongs. Blunts were kinda disrespectful, at least I thought. They smoked those too. I only went in wildcat lodge like 10-15 times but it was never loud like minardi. Smoked with a bunch of the 2012 championship team. Not going to name names but I got a certain player a lot of bud (it’s the one you think and one of my good buddies to this day) iykyk. Also you’d be surprised at who smoked on that 2012 team bc he’s regarded as an alter boy.

Ate a few dinners with Rick at his house. Never really asked him any pressing questions. He’d always ask me questions about our football and basketball team. I was intimidated by him and didn’t want to piss him off tbh. My friend told me to not ask him about KY. I asked him if rick stayed at UK what it would be like and he said “it would be a dynasty” also to never ask rick that lol. I didn’t want to step on any toes there.

now ask me about the recruiting stories on kragthorpe. They’re brutal. He was such an amateur compared to rick.

I used to dislike Treese as a player and always thought he was an ***. Dude is a stand up guy who respects people , down to earth, and who asks you how your family is. Perrin is laid back who loves to talk about bball, ex players, and how bball helped him in life.

As much as I hate UL these 2 guys are stand up gentlemen. Even my sons ask me how I hang out with UL players. Lol

Hell, half of my family are Louusville fans and I love everyone of them . No need to hate anyone over 18 year old kids and a game . It's really stupid if you sit down and think deeply about it . It's all just entertainment . I hope most of us have more in life than UK sports
