SCOOP: Ex-F.B.I. Lawyer Expected to Plead Guilty in Durham Investigation

Evidently he altered emails to gain FISA warrants. His attorney stated:

“Kevin deeply regrets having altered the email," Shur said. “It was never his intent to mislead the court or his colleagues, as he believed the information he relayed was accurate, but Kevin understands what he did was wrong and accepts responsibility.”

What? Then why did you alter the emails? This was the nation you were playing with in some sort of sick joke?

That’s about like the guy saying when I put the mask on and carried the gun in the bank I never meant to take money that wasn’t mine.

I'm baffled at the attorney's statement. Say nothing if that's all you have to say. Now it's being reported that there will be more guilty pleas. No names.

About time some of Obama's thugs start going to jail.

This guy is pretty low level. Supposedly Andrew McCabe is at risk of some jail time also. Call me a pessimist, but with what's being said so far, it looks like small fry are going to take the fall like good soldiers, and they'll get commutations in Biden's first term if he wins.

You are probably correct....Sad that the most evil event, series of events actually, in U.S. history has been passed/glossed/ignored over by the disgusting press. Better believe the level of corruption by the liberals/democrats will only be ramped up as they realize they they can commit such crimes and walk away.

I see that he only plead guilty to 1 count. That, to me, signals he has flipped.

Looking at the latest I see the very leftist journalist has put this out:

Eli Jon Lake is an American journalist and the former senior national security correspondent for The Daily Beast and Newsweek.

@EliLake
It appears that Clinesmith--in order to save himself--has implicated others on Crossfire Hurricane. So who, ultimately, hid the exculpatory information from the FISA court?

I heard that it was a plea deal. Maybe some of the other charges were dropped and the parties agreed that he'd plead guilty to just this one thing.

The guy is an ex-FBI lawyer. Did he get fired; quit, knowing he would be fired; or just go somewhere else?

I was looking all of that up. He was mentioned by the OIG. But his releases texts show he stated this:

[h=1]“I Have Initiated the Destruction of the Republic”[/h]

Why? I don't know. BUT it does not give me the warm fuzzies to see an FBI guy say that in a text.

13:44:42, to FBI Employee 1: “I mean, I never really liked the Republic anyway.”
13:44:52, to FBI Employee 2: “I mean, I never really liked the Republic anyway.”
14:01:52, to FBI Employee 3: “As I have initiated the destruction of the republic.… Would you be so kind as to have a coffee with me this afternoon?”
15:28:50, to FBI Employee 4: “I’m clinging to small pockets of happiness in the dark time of the Republic’s destruction”

Evidently, you think that attempting to nullify/overturn an election that the people of the U.S. voted for is not of any significance. If so, then you are a complete fool.
That destroys the very basis of our country and freedoms.
You are either among the dumbest SOB's alive are one of the sorriest SOB's alive.

I can surmise you have little interest in honest and free elections....you must be a liberal/democrat.

Uhh. They absolutely could have done that. You had high, very high level, Justice Department employees using fabricated and false evidence to go to a FISA court to engage in surveillance of a campaign. Also the evidence used was partially obtained with funding from a rival campaign

if the surveillance is warranted..... why fabricate and misrepresent evidence?

I mean am I an old fogey here? A get off my lawn type for believing it’s wrong for upper level justice department employees to blatantly lie and fabricate evidence to mislead a court to get a surveillance warrant?? Just let me know if so

i mean I have people struggling to explain why this is not worse than the events that led to watergate

It's some messed up crap! They even planted evidence in the news to use as....evidence. ??? Steele went to a Yahoo news reporter with an FBI agent, leaked some details of his dossier and the Yahoo reporter released an article. The FBI then used the article to "verify" a claim made by Steele as grounds to gain a warrant.

REALLY?? What the hell is that?

Likely, Mr. Chen won't respond to this.

Maybe Mr. Chen is a simple troll?

Not only that, this fraud was used as the ONLY basis for opening a two year investigation that yielded zero evidence of what was alleged but was absolutely used to flip the HOR to the opposing party.

Unfortunately there are still fools who still believe in that Russian collusion BS.

Of course, only fools believed that BS from the get go.

And yes, that is one of the most evil episodes in the history of the U.S. regardless of what some lame brain shouts.

It's not the most evil thing that's ever happened in US government, but it's right up there with Watergate, and may be even worse since the FBI and other career (and some appointed) government employees were involved, if it truly is as it seems. Whether the attempts went all the way to the Oval Office has yet to be proven.

The Democrats sure didn't like losing and have been trying every avenue to prove they won since November 2016. They're relentless.

And that, as bad as the other things are, is the biggest issue I have. It's what these select few did to the people of the nation no matter what side of the isle you are on. The sheer HELL that we are still experiencing from a bunch of lies.

I would have a hard time believing it went all of the way to the top. BUT, it's highly unlikely that 1 person could have done all of this alone. There were just to many angles to it. 5 human resources inserted into the campaign. A high level DOJ guy's wife working for the company who hired Steele pushing information through him to avoid proper chain...

It's a friggin mess.

The sitting president of the USA was involved.

He at least knew something was going on, and it didn’t make good sense if you were paying attention with any 17ing intelligence.
