I have watched the games and the freshman are not ready to make that jump to the NBA right now. Even though I know a lot of them will leave.. How yall been ?

Coach Cal is a 1000 times smarter than any of us Im sure, but I would offer him one piece of advice. Spend night and day trying to recruit your own team back for next year. Your a hell of a recruiter Cal, but these guys with a year under their belt will be awesome.
The NBA doesn't give much of a crap about how kids play in college. If they see the potential, they'll get drafted. How many kids that are barely average in college are great in NBA when it becomes their full time job to play/practice basketball?
I remember the old days when they all came back for 4 years...you would have balanced classes of 3-4 kids in each class. Scholarship limit was 15....I remember watching Robey, Phillips, Givens, and company get beat at Vandy when sophomores....I thought then....that bunch will be really good...they should have won back to back titles had it not been for that stupid 4 corner that UNC ran....they were dominant the next year...The Goose was Golden....I think that was the Sports Illustrated headline...
I will be surprised if we don't lose at least 4 this spring. The only guys I think come back for sure next year are Quade, Wynard, Baker, and SkJ. Ok I technically have to add Brad seeing is will be a scholarship player again. Alexander is moving toward lottery, Knox is lottery, Diallo might be lottery, PJ is moving up the ladder. Vanderbilt, is a toss up between lottery to mid second round depending on how well he plays and how far his game can progress after getting such a late start. Richards might be picked on size and potential alone in the late first, but pretty sure being a second round selection. Gabriel might need the money so he could be going overseas.
Everybody but Hami for me, kid just will not play team ball. 1 on 3 and still tries to drive instead of backing out. Very rarely will pass once he heads to the hoop, draws 3 guys and instead of lobbing it he shoots off balance. Drives me bananas, bad as Archie. I think he and Knox leave, nobody else even close IMO. Shai needs to work on quickness and strength with the ball. But could maybe leave.
Help me understand why anyone should turn down a 3 year, multi million dollar contract to play a game.
Someone who may be better versed on the NBA draft etc help me out here.

Kentucky Effect and high school rankings.
Look we all love our team, but lets be realistic. If your job depended on you picking the best 30 players in the NCAA and international...would you really pick anyone on our team to be in that top 30?
Tbh, it would be close if we were only choosing from the SEC.

We all watch lots of basketball. I bet all of us could look at the top 50 teams and find 30-40 players we would take in the draft before any of our guys this year and we are not paid to evaluate talent. Just think about the SEC teams alone... not a knock on our boys....they are just not ready this year. Give Knox, Alexander, and Vanderbilt another year of college ball and they will all be top 10-20 picks.
I'll tell you why. They are 18-19 years old most come from nothing. They become instant millionaires in a day and spend it all in an hr giving handouts. When there play doesn't improve its overseas where you could make money but most don't want to go or 25k a yr in the gleague I know we can all agree if we were that age and most had basically nothing we would blow it in a heartbeat
Preach on brother like cal said I love this team but we are unranked and squeaking by. We are loaded with talent but have 1 shooter and you know the old saying, you can never have too many. Who knows when baker will be back

It's dumb as sht, and it's why I hate the NBA as much as the NCAA. I'm actually glad people are pulling back a bit on sports all the way around. Maybe in the next 40 years it will take effect and they'll have to be smarter about business and the way they throw away money.
I'm a repeat offender unfortunately but I'm just try to have fun. People can bust my onions and if it's funny I'll like it if it's bad they still get a like. It irks the hell out of them. I learned awhile ago never take anything on catpaw personal
