I have said for years the Meeks decision caused some serious dominos to fall that cost us titles.

Had he stayed, we see Bledsoe as a Sophomore and just wow.

I also think Bledsoe was the catalyst for fringe prospects at UK to leave after a year, ready or not. He has done very well and made a great living so he made a good choice.

I think we would have seen many more high level multi year players had Meeks stayed.

Also think if Kanter had been eligible on the Final 4 team. Harrelson wouldn't have made his jump, but that team would have been something with him and Knight

Agreed. If Enes is eligible, Jorts doesn't get drafted and would not have the career that he has had.

Ok if Meeks comes back who says we even get bledsoe, still probably cut down the nets. In 11 wasn't Kanter getting to practice vs Josh that helped him inprove plus he got in much better shape on his own in the off season had nothing to do with kanter. Josh splits min with both Jones and kanter seriously improving inside depth. That probably gets us the title in 11. Also If bledsoe comes back in 11 we may not get Lamb which could cost us a title in 12. Now if Lamb and Teague come back in 13 like they should have that 13 team takes on a whole new look and would have been a defensive juggernaut that also had a 3point assassin! Yes WCS getting hurt is probably why he came back in 15 which helped 15 to a great season but we probably win the title in 14 if he doesn't get hurt.

Here is my opinion of our history if those what ifs happen. Meeks comes back we win a title in 10, but Meeks coming back causes us to not get bledsoe, kanter ends up missing 10 games in 11 meaning we still see an improved josh shoring up our inside depth and foul trouble with that team becomes a non issue we repeat. None of that really effects 2012 the strike still happens prompting Jones to still come back so we 3peat in 12. Teague and Lamb come back in 13 because of low draft positions we are really good defensively Lamb and Wiltjer provide great outside shooting we make the tourney and lose in the elite 8. 2014 WCS doesn't get hurt and is enough to get us over the top for a 4th title in five seasons. WCS goes pro after the 14 season Towns and Lyle's get more playing time we don't go undefeated in the regular season cause we aren't quite as experienced. We lose 1 to 3 games but still lose in the final 4. We may go a game or 2 in 16 if poy isn't coming off of injury but who knows. We get a fair whistle in 17 vs UNC we at least go the final 4. Don't really see much else changing since then. But damn what a ride. Even if we.just win 2 more titles and get one more final 4! Well that was fun lol

There are a half dozen or more fanbases that feel the exact same way. Several of them watched their "what if" players suit up for Kentucky too.

In 1985 if I hadn’t pushed so hard during a ****, I wouldn’t have needed hemorrhoid surgery. If my first wife hadn’t caught me screwing the babysitter I’d still be married. If I hadn‘t paid 1k to drill out an old gas well that my grandpa said was a lost cause, I wouldn’t be rich. If Cal took Bona’s commitment when he offered it we would already have him committed. If Lively had an ounce of sense he would have chose UK. IF is a tittybit of a word.

For me every year there is always 1 guy that could have came back for another year and doesn't that would have made the difference for being a championship contender. Well I have to say this year is the first year I have not felt that way. Sure it been nice to get Jackson back but I don't feel nearly as strong about him leaving as some other guys who left early who would have clearly helped the team try to win a ship.
