History will treat Cal well. He is like Dean Smith to me, but reality is he has accomplished stuff, just like Dean, but still embarrassing.

I’m not a Cal fan and haven’t been since he was hired. It’s a personality type issue with me. He will be revered 10+ years after he leaves. Give it time and revisionist history works wonders.

We will be honoring Tubby soon and we have a lot of people on this board that think the Hall era was peaches and cream and he was some great titan of the game now.

Used to think differently. I do not anymore. When Pitino got it rolling, UK was a beast.

And the thing with Pitino is he would get you down and try to keep you down.

The full court press destroyed teams and had teams not wanting to play UK.

I always felt UK had a good chance to win with Pitino. Not so much with Cal...even in the early years.

The biggest difference between the two:

Pitino had killer instinct. Cal doesn't.

Players at all programs stayed longer back then. The playing field is equal.
Cow is #1 at doing the least with the most.

Should make Cal ask what am I doing wrong when he has NONE of those restrictions.

I would feel much different had there been a 2nd National Championship won and Cal has even said as much in the radio show/press conferences he agrees with that. Right now, feels like a major disappointment.
