The Ohio State loss had impact on finishing in the top four league positions.which now looks unlikely. A squad of experienced players that lack shooting abilty are now facing the potential reality of no NCAA bid.The last five league games will show the resilience of the team and the coaching staff.

Not true. It changes our road record to 3-5 instead of 2-6; it changes our overall record to 17-9 instead of 16-10 ; it changes our league record to 9-6 instead of 8-7 making us third but only 2 out from Purdue and 1 away from NW. Plus the NCAA lock is still there and people aren’t jumping ship over this 3 game losing streak post MAG.

I also had a discussion with the Purdue guy who always visits the site about a month ago when Purdue only had 1 loss mentioning we were going to be fighting for the title and if you press Purdue and with their upcoming schedule ( they already played Nebraska 2x and Minnesota ) and had a ton of hard home and away games left that they would lose 3-4 of them.
Now we got some bad luck with MAG’s injury combined with our 4 upperclassman starters playing in a funk since his injury and the title dreams have dissipated and now we have a confidence problem with less of a buffer than we would have had.

Yes the team is not playing well right now and these loses have nothing to do with the OSU robbery

Can say that anytime when things don’t work out but there should be no debate that a win was taken from us that changes every record and implications for seeding and standings . Plus you are discounting mindset , if they were always closer to Purdue because we really beat OSU , that goal seemed more attainable to the team than if you are 3 -4 games away.

Well you originally quoted my post that stated if we didn’t win the B1G because of that loss then I get the complaint.

RU losing at home to Nebraska is what everyone should be bothered by.

If we don’t make the tourney, that’s the reason why.

The Nebraska loss will not affect us making the tourney., I am not one of those cliffdivers. Our Net only went from 21-28 and stands at 29 today and Kenpom similarly went down from 17 and sits at 27.
If we lose out then we will miss the tourney and deservingly so. So that is not the issue. The impact of that OSU steal job is still incredibly impactful for the reasons I mentioned.
Our Upperclassman failing us is where we are at now and they need to turn it around.

The OSU loss will really hurt if we go 2-3 down the stretch. 11-9 (with one more road win) is so much better than 10-10. A .500 record would probably put us in Dayton again, but it's not a certainty.

With that said, 3-2 down the stretch and we are golden. No worries about a Big Dance invitation.

I don’t think a 1 point loss on the road we got screwed on is going to impact us in any way with the committee.

The stuff happening now has a much larger impact and is a much bigger problem.

I was really pissed about the OSU game but luckily for us it was in the beginning of the conference season and we have plenttty of opportunity to over come it.

We win Ohio State who knows how we play in the rest of the games after that. We seem to struggle or let up sometimes after big wins/getting ranked so we may have not been hungry enough to beat Purdue.

Actually, I'll take it a step forward. That BS game was so deflating to our kids, that they came out completely flat against SHU. Our record should be 18-8 right now and at least 9-6 in league play.
