That you'd be exposed as someone who pretends to have insider information but just makes educated guesses cloaked in fake claims of 'sources?' Well, it's happened so just accept it.
Well I guess Daniels and Bossi are fake too because they had said the same thing.

This feels like redirect, this late in the game. For McDaniels to feel worried/get cold feet about playing at Kentucky for 6 months, when he's trying to have a 15-year NBA career, seems absurd.

Everyone has thought Washington forever. Then all the Kentucky chatter last week was planted by McDaniels camp to keep everyone guessing and waffling back and forth. Happens all the time. I feel very confident Washington is gonna be the pick. Quiet kids that don’t like the spotlight usually don’t end up at Kentucky.
if he's quiet and doesn't like the spotlight, then what would be the purpose or the smokescreen?

This has been stated a whole lot of times, but these are 18-19 year old kids we are talking about with a whole lot riding on the decisions they make. My guess us JM has changed his mind 100 times possibly in the last week or so. A buddy of mine in the 80`s drove around with Chris Mullin when he was on his Louisville trip and Chris told him he was 100% to the Cards. He went home and a few days later committed to St Johns. These kids flip/flop so much its just now with social media it gets reported every few minutes. My guess is maybe even JM himself is confused. Seems to be a very quiet kid, and not an attention seeker, and just wants to make sure he puts himself in the best position possible to get to the league and maybe please his family. 3,000 miles away to in our opinion the best choice, but we are definitely biased. Id love to have him as I think he is the prototype for the present and the future, skilled , long and tall that can put it on the floor and go to the rim with it, as well as shoot it. He gets some muscle on his frame and look out.. KD type comparisons..

Exactly! He's an 18 yr ol kid and U.K. Is 3000 miles away, I'm glad Cal is on vacation and doing a clinic!!! If his last pitch wasn't good enough and JM gets cold feet then so be it.

Hope JM comes here. Or Blackshear. Like to have both, but I'll be happy with either. Just don't want him to move into one of the mansions that opened up in Durham.

Let me guess. Things have changed. He's not a heavy UK lean anymore. He's having second thoughts, and it's 50-50 between UK and Washington now.

“Undecided” is not a prediction. It is the opposite of a prediction. Evan Daniels changing his crystal ball pick to undecided only means he does not know anymore about McDaniels’ decision than the rest of us.

Insiders with egg all over their face on this one. We go from "a signed LOI" to now him potentially not coming at all. This is pure comedy!

I don’t have a dog in this “insider” fight, but the kid evidently committed last week (Bossi). Now he has cold feet. I just don’t see how you can blame anyone who reported JM was going to pick UK based on the fact he had verbally committed.

The signed LOI came via one fraud on twitter. It took on a life of its own yesterday but I don’t recall any “insider” on here claiming they knew a LOI had been signed.

Not a good look for Cal to be on vacation in Italy while a top 10 recruit is allegedly having second thoughts and struggling to make a final decision.
You can’t be serious. If so, you’re officially the dumbest poster on this board

Yea, I seriously doubt that. Throw a dart at half these thread & you’re going to find someone dumber than me.

I appreciate your sentiment though. Also, I love your avatar photo. The sideless shirt is a great look.

Sometimes I wonder if most of the people on here are actually UK fans at all. It seems as though most of them are giddy when bad news happens more so than good news. It get's a little old and I wish the Mods would clean this stuff up like other boards do. You can guarantee this doesn't continually happen at other Blue Bloods Forums.

Which is likely the case most of the time.

Lmao. That all you got? I was outdoors wading the river enjoying nature. Not everyone sits in mommas basement blaming the coaches vacation for a recruit presumably changing their mind. Dumbest take I’ve ever read on here. Congrats.

Not really though? I mean the recruiting insiders on “HOB” were just providing the info they have.

Are you more upset about JM possibly not coming here or more happy because you can point to others and be like “lmAo hAhA! YoU pReDiCtED wRonG!”

Honestly curious :)

Lol ... wait... did he really say that? He thinks coach cal going/ being on vacation is the reason we MAY not get McDaniels?

If so, that truly is (legitimately) one of the dumbest takes I’ve seen

Yea. He said it’s a “bad look on Cal” for being on vacation while a recruit is having trouble deciding where they wanna go. Man. I sure hope he didn’t reproduce lol

Evan Daniels on KSR:
Made the change based upon "new information"

This time last week he was headed to UK. He now has info to believe this is no longer the case and it's a battle between UK & Washington.

Says it's as simple as McDaniels changing his mind. Followed that by saying Washington coaches didn't stop recruiting him.

Yes, Kentucky still has a chance. If he were to announce tonight, ED would pick Washington. He has no indication that is about to happen, however.

Has no idea when a final, public decision will be made.

If McDaniels really is going back and forth and can't make his mind up then I hope he stays in Washington. I want those players that can't wait to get here and ball, not drama queens.

I hope that's not the case and all this back and forth is coming from another source besides him. I hope he knows exactly where hes going and he's all in on coming to UK.

During the call with Evan, Matt Jones asked about Blackshear. There was no real news here, but Jones did allude to a report out today suggesting KB was likely to stay in the draft. Does anyone know what report he’s referring to?

Update: Looks like MJ was likely referencing comments made by Corey Evans.

I haven't said anything about the McDaniels situation, that I can remember.

I asked him why he waited until it became public knowledge that we were going to land him to tell us Juzang committed. He threw a tantrum, deleted it, and went around tagging me in a dozen threads trying to win an argument no one was having until I just put him on ignore.

We were actually good in the original thread until he realized he could get a dozen likes by being a petulant troll.

You're wasting your time trying to make a rational stand on the internet. Even people who mean well don't follow closely enough to hold anyone to anything concrete, so it becomes things like this situation where I never even discussed it but have somehow been proven wrong.

He doesn't want an apology because there's nothing to apologize for. He wants attention.

I didn't mean to imply you said anything on the situation.

I also asked why he waited until after the Evan Daniels pick to act like he knew it all.

Then multiple posters came flying in to defend him.

Last night was the situation that proves he and others knew nothing. You double down if you have facts. Now...Evan Daniels on KSR saying he thinks Washington may lead again.

When are people going to learn--just because some troll types "I haz sources" doesn't make it so.

This is like "Telephone" game with all the shots being taken at a guy who hasn't stated half of the stuff he's getting drilled for. As someone who knows nothing about Jaden McDaniels recruitment, hasn't, I'd say the posters on UK have been pretty accurate about their updates. I don't get the politics or sides taken on the board as I just like talking basketball/recruiting and don't doubt people hear things or that they are more "inside" then others. I get good info from a guy who knows things, but I am not any insider. Thing is....when you share something and a totally different person/people who run a recruiting account claim one thing and it ends up being wrong-what does that have to do with a guy who never said that? Nobody who is on this site said a LOI was signed/sent in. Just saw people saying that would reinforce what they've been told...now who "they" is telling them things could be several people but people who cover CBB recruiting weren't disagreeing and were jumping on board too.

Appreciate when people hear share things they hear/been told and it makes for fun discussion/projections. They also aren't getting paid for this....and to me it just magnifies what a headache recruiting is/can be for the actual Staff who has to do this. It's a nasty part of the industry and never ends but you put out who you are/what your program is about, and if a guy wants to pass up Cal/UK's track record, then onto the next one.

The things I've READ about McDaniels none of the public "signed LOI, sent it in" made sense. Last week they denied a report they were announcing tomorrow publicly. Then Jaden was asked a ? and answered the SAME as he'd done for his entire recruitment....and we're to believe the world is ending based on a simple "Haven't done that/didn't happen". Odd how a pretty general response sparked so much negativity when it's fit how the player/his camp have handled the entire process.

I wish they were right. Of course I want JM at UK! I just find the extremely amusing. You had RR on here yesterday saying this was done since March and he knew it. I find it hilarious how full of you know what some of these guys are. RR and his secret society turned out to not know squat.

All of you? Hmm. I’ve stated numerous times i have exactly ZERO inside sources or knowledge and never have pretended to have sources etc

But when our paid recruiting experts here on this site make a prediction it’s not a bad thing to believe them eh?

Secondly , the sky isn’t even falling. One dude changed his pick from UK to “unknown” while everyone else has stuck with UK...

Nobody here really (aside from a well known “insider” who turned out not to be an insider) pretends to have inside scoops or anything.

RR did say that yes, he also predicted Juzang to UK...

He predicted it after it was obvious to most he was coming. Before he made his thread about "Juzang has already committed," I was already pretty confident we'd get the kid. I don't know anyone. I don't hear anything. I've seen enough recruitments that go quickly to know when we're probably getting a kid. It went similiar to the Sestina thing. His name pops up, things move 100 miles an hour, and booom--Juzang to UK.

Instead of being like most of us and saying "He's almost certainly going to UK," RR pretended to know something beyond the rest of us.

Then he did the same with the McDaniels situation. And now he's been exposed.

Dont know if you're referencing me or not, but I'll take a stab at it. A lot of what I was hearing seemed to be backed up by HOB. 18 year old kid getting "cold feet" isn't something anyone is going to know about before it happens.

As many will tell you here a lot of the top experts also heard what I heard. I still believe the late leak is misdirection for JM to select UK. If I'm right will you eat crow? Probably not as you have 74 posts since 2011
This, all the way! Which I’m perfectly fine with.

Anybody who saw that initial Terrence Jones commitment video, and subsequent stories that followed, knows how pressure from teammates, friends and family can influence these decisions.

If UK posted Monday's tweet without getting McDaniels, it all looks silly now. Landing Juzang and losing out on another head-to-head with Duke over a player (Hurt) doesn't give you the license to act like the Al Capone again of the recruiting world.

Losing McDaniels this late in the game would be an epic travesty if it plays out the way folks are saying.

But all of your posts were certain, right? You weren't just confident, you were factual. You get on and tell posters to apologize for not patting you on the back for KNOWING. You and a few others are on here posting about a secret insider recruiting society.

And now "18 year olds get cold feet."
