I am never a fan of playing these lower division schools and im glad where moving away from these games. I saw more positives than negatives after the Missouri game and yesterday it was the opposite. What does it mean going forward? I am not sure but what I am convinced of this If coach Holgorson is indeed on the hot seat as most of the preseason articles seem to indicate then this is a good year to evaluate his performance. I have seen every big 12 team play and BYU and maybe outside of Texas every team has serious deficiencies that need to be addressed going forward. The schedule is laid out very nicely and the opportunity to have a nice season is for the taking. I have watched football for over 75 years and have seen teams have good seasons due to having great talent and I have seen teams have good seasons because the majority of the teams they play where nothing special. I suspect when this season comes to an end there will be a couple teams in the big 12 that will reflect win totals better than there actual talent level. I just hope where one of them. This year is defiantly the weakest the big 12 has been since we have been members.
