“We didn't do our job,” East St. Louis coach Darren Sunkett said. “We didn't do what we were supposed to do at a crucial moment in the game, and this is the result. It’s something we have to build on, something we have to fix when we get back home.”

“I think the biggest thing was the wind early on,” Sunkett said. “They had great field position for the first quarter and a half. Once the field got flipped, it became an even game. You saw two great teams going at it.”

“It’s not about what Bergen Catholic did, it’s about what we did,” Sunkett said. “We just have to fix us. We’ll get it straight.”

The two missed calls by NJ ref's certainly did not help either.
Truly think ESTL was the better team.

Ocean City is one of New Jersey’s most unique high school football venues. The field is located about 100 yards from the Boardwalk and the Atlantic Ocean. A Ferris wheel looms over the artificial grass field.
