The menus are not 100% intuitive. I've never actually seen the fire stick version. On the PS4, you go to a section called "My Shows" and you pick the shows you want it to DVR. Then after they air, you just click on the show title card, and it'll give you a big list of every airing of every episode. It gets a little weird if it's a show with new episodes and repeats going on at the same time.

So what is your solution to watching games, especially for those of us who did not attend the local state university and so are far away from our alma mater? I can watch every game on either an ESPN channel or the their app... what is the alternative, if ESPN goes under?

if you're just referring to games, can't argue - for us, ESPN did give us the SECN, on which we've gotten to see UK events that may never have been televised.

What most here are talking about are the sports "shows" - there is no real news anymore.

I was a big Sportscenter fan with Patrick and Olberman. When I really stopped paying attention to ESPN was during the latter Tubby/Gillispie years. If you weren't TOP 25 you were on media blackout, not to mention that ESPN doesn't take college basketball seriously until after the superbowl. The only time we were mentioned is when we had an embarrassing loss. I like the NFL but with the exception of Monday Night Football (and the addition of the NFL Network having Thursday and NBC having Sunday night) , ESPN just doesn't deliver that much NFL. Its mostly NFL analysis - and the NFL network does that better.

I like PTI - its like my evening news for sports and keeps me up to date on the top sports "issues" but that's about the only thing I watch on ESPN regularly - and its not like I couldn't live without it.

ESPN should be scared to death of ala carte pricing on cable channels because people would add/drop them seasonally. I did that with DirecTV for the top tier fox sports channels during basketball season. Pay an extra $11.99 a month for 4 months and then drop back down to a basic package
