46 states have existing procedures for mail in voting options. Like it or not, those states are going to see record numbers of mail in ballots returned. We can give the states the resources to deal with that reality, or we face an absolute disaster of an election for regular people just trying to vote.

It's not about partisanship, it's about regular people seeing mail in ballots as a viable and safe option. And those people taking advantage of their lawfully provided options in record numbers. It's going to happen. Not giving money to states to handle the inevitable is malpractice.

You have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to Colorado, but I do agree that we are probably past the point where we can institute mail-in balloting nationwide. But my above point remains about the existing processes. They will be overwhelmed without additional resources.

It seems (and you can tell me) that you do not believe that massive mail outs of voter ballots is an issue.

It is certainly an issue to me and I think to most that if you send out ballots (like here in CA) and have not managed your voter rolls, you will have millions of ballots sent to non-existent people. This is definitely ripe for corruption - and if you disagree then there is no point in discussing it.

I give an example - how does one reconcile a mail-in ballot that is not received prior to voting day with that same name person going in again to vote? They do not even check IDs at the voting location! All you need is a list, have a coordinated effort, and many people go to different voting locations all over a locality.

That is voter fraud and corruption in voting.
