Les Miles a couple years ago was maybe the worst homer for the Huskers I've ever seen. He was openly referring to Nebraska as we and rooting in the booth.

I wonder how he feels about Nebraska now that they grabbed the best player out of his state and his son transferred?

Nobody picks us in important games because we no longer win those games. That’s not hate, that’s reality. We haven’t lived up to hype in a loooooong time.

The only time I ever felt the national media was anti-Nebraska was when they determined the 1993 team didn't belong on the same field with Florida State and that a FSU-Notre Dame rematch should determine the national championship. And that's exactly what would have happened, if BC doesn't upset Notre Dame late in the season. Other than that, I think the Nebraska program has received fair treatment for the most part.

I don't think Mussberger hated Nebraska, but he loved an upset to add to the drama of the game.

The fact that Nebraska was typically the favorite coincided with his excitement when the Huskers were in danger of being upset.

Funny thread....like what an announcer or media person thinks has any bearing on the outcome of a game.

Man I miss Beano Cook. I used to love listening to him go on and on about CFB. What a freaking legend. Now we have people like Paul Finebaum and I will never understand how he weasled his way into being a fixture of CFB.
