First 2020 edition.

We are in the 'Should be In' group - along with 8 other B1G teams.

BTW, although the loss to Michigan was tough, both Illinois and Michigan State also lost this weekend. Still one game out of first place.

But if ESPN writes it, a dilusional fan base might believe it... This team could easily go 1-8 and 0-1. There are plenty of good teams outside looking in poised to make a run...Exhibit A: Virginia is currently out...

I have a bit of a simplistic answer to why Rutgers has started to struggle again, Fall semester ended with that the end of the Wisconsin game Dec. 11, started our run in, and spring semester started Jan 21 just before the Iowa game. Wisconsin game to Minnesota, 8-1 only loss to Illinois. School in session, 6-3 in the Fall, 2-2 Spring session. When they don't have class, they are really good and 100% focused. More experienced teams, know how to balance it, we are still young when it comes to that.

Until we win games away from home we will be on the bubble.

- Need to win 1 of the away games vs Wisconsin or Purdue
- need to beat Michigan at home or hope Michigan makes a run to be a top 25 team
- need to win 1 of the 3 games vs Maryland and Illinois
- a win at Ohio St would be a quality road win but not needed

failure to do so and headed to the NIT

Remaining 9 games include
Northwestern - need to win
hosting Michigan
hosting Illinois
home and home with Maryland
@ Ohio St
@ PSU
@ Purdue
@ Wisconsin

I think we need to win all 4 remaining home games and at least one road game. That would put us at 21-10. I think of our away games that the toughest place to play is Purdue and that will be their senior day. Maryland will be really tough as well. We could win any of them but I think those will be our toughest chances. None of them will be easy. I think Penn State might be our best chance as we have won there before. Ohio State and Wisconsin could work as well. Here's hoping we can finally make the dance this season. i never thought I might see this again at my elderly years and with my leukemia/lymphoma. I sure hope we can make it as I have attended games for 49 years and it has been a real struggle for the last 29 years. If we should make it I know I will be there rooting hard for our team.
