Been away for awhile, so if this has already been covered, please remove. Anyway, I saw on a Facebook post that ESL QB Jadon Wilson moved north and will be playing for Wheaton SF. Is this real, or one of those made up things? If real, the three questions: Why, how and how good is he

Is he the first or second player to travel through the ESL to SF pipeline.
Was Jadon Wilson a backup for the Flyers?
Will he be the starter for the Spartans?
Is there NIL money or nil?

Yes, he was going to back up Shanklin at ESL.
Yes, Jadon's public comments speak of "competition" but that is just coach/player speak, IMO.

Kids are going to say the quiet part out loud because they do not realize there are technically rules the IHSA doesn't enforce. I saw a kid last week who posted: Looking to transfer, dms are open.

It would be interesting to see how the zip code of football players/athletes compares to the zip codes of non-student athletes. I'm not singling out SF. I mean for all private schools.
That southern Illinois 62201 is a highly coveted zip code for the catholic school bingo cards that are played every year prior to the football season

We had a similar discussion a few weeks ago. Kids are being recruited and switching high schools. Just heard a few weeks ago that the QB from Plainfield is transferring to Mount Carmel. This family of this QB from ESL clearly has to relocate and uproot the family for him to come and play at St Francis, same with the QB from Nazareth who moved two hours south from Wisconsin just to play there. Whether the schools are "target recruiting" or not, the IHSA is allowing it to happen so they are playing within the rules.

The IHSA letting everyone transfer freely has what has truly lead to the separation of the CCL from everyone.

I am hearing that Nazareth accommodated this transfer by adding an additional route for its school bus pick up/drop off.
To not violate any of the IHSA rules, the service only goes to the corner of the kids block rather than directly in front of his house
