Erwin vs ACR

I'm sorry I don't know what happened with the refs but Erwin was facing a 3rd down with 90 seconds left and Reynolds had no timeouts left and Erwin threw a pass! That is absolutely idiotic of the Erwin coaches. An incomplete pass gave Reynolds the time they needed to go 85 yards in 40 seconds with no timeouts. You run the ball there and then punt and Reynolds gets the ball back having to go 85 yards in 23 seconds instead of a min. God that was STUPID. Maybe they were trying to get Ferguson one more throw.
Erwin ran and passed all over Reynolds tonight. They dominated the entire game. What a disgusting way to lose. The sad thing is the phantom calls all night. How do they continue to get away with this **** over there. I try not to complain about refs unless it's Franklin but this has happened in Fairview twice in the last 5 years.
Just watch the CJ Thompson interception on the highlights on wlos. It will be the #1 of the week. They called it back for no reason whatsoever
Man I tell you what. I hate Reynolds guts (as a rivalry thing) but if you have a close game with them in the 4th quarter they will find a way.
Unless it's against Asheville. They usually find a way to pull a crazy comeback against the rockets.
That has nothing to do with this game. I wrote about it earlier this week. Reynolds County home cooking. Where they get more points for their bucks.

You should have a good shot against Reynolds this year unless you are playing at Reynolds.

Up by 14 with about 6 minutes left in the game and Erwin ran 3 plays and a punt in 1 minute without ACR calling a timeout? I followed the game through the blog and was surprised when I saw that. Could have burned off more time than that by taking a knee each down (if the blog's accurate).

That is accurate. Definitely a boneheaded call by us. After the punt we sacked the QB and the refs stoped the clock because one of our players had one strap not tightened on his helmet. That basically gave Reynolds a free timeout and gained them alot of time. Just really bad officiating every time we play at Reynolds. Erwin was and is the better team. I really hope we see them again. Just not the refs.
Ok, I got a little carried away tonight. It happens sometimes. My apologies..I just hate to see these kids at Erwin play so well and basically lose their conference championship over a bunch of bs. Just let the damn kids play the game and not let some jerkoff with a whistle decide it. I'm really not bashing Reynolds because it's not their fault. It just sucks when games like this happen. We have all been there. Erwin should regroup and could run the table the rest of the way and either the playoffs at 7-3. They will be a tough 1st rd opponent for someone on the road. Anyways, congrats to Reynolds.
The refs in the mountains are absolutely terrible! I think they think the people in the stands come to see them. It's embarrassing how many flags are thrown every game! I heard a ref pushed a Erwin player and when the player said something he got ejected? Is that correct?
Great game tonight. Both teams gave all they had. Multiple players on both teams with cramps.
I am very proud of the ACR team for not giving up when they got down by 21.
On the interception by Erwin there was a block in the back. I know the Erwin faithful don't want to hear that and I don't blame them. It did happen. It was behind the play.

The refs do suck. Shouldn't you error on the side of NOT calling borderline penalties?
Yep. You got it. Coach Sexton chewed the refs arse for a good 20 min after that. He even took a few timeouts to get in them more. A few plays later was the amazing int return to end the half that was called back.
You should have seen the return CJ Thompson made on that int. It was disgusting that it was nullified by some **** in stripes.
Congrats on the win. I may be upset with how you won it but that's not your fault or Reynolds. As for the call, cut me some slack. There was no block in the back. Nobody out there could come close to catching Thompson.
It was one hell of a return. He must have reversed field five times. Kid was the best player on the field.
Erwin is absolutely snake bit in the Mac. How many teams have they had the last 7-8 years that were supposed to obliterate every Mac team and it not happen? It's always something nuts. Tonight, players being morons in 2013, fair catch punt return tds vs Reynolds several years ago etc.

i was there . i saw it all erwin guy reversed field like 3 times and i mean all the way across the filed. players were spread out all over, i just don't think until and unless you see film that you can tell it was a phantom call or not but i know for sure that throwing the ball at the end was not a good move
