She is exactly the type of player and person I want at UK. She's going to be extremely successful at Notre dame.Don't feel bad. She turned down UCONN too!!
She was leaning to going out of state, but coach Mitchell pushed UK completely out of the picture.
Unfortunately the way he went about recruiting boley backfired. He downplayed other schools interest and pressured her for a quick commitment. What does that mean?
Yep. And so she did. To Notre Dame. Best girls high school player I've ever seen in person, even over Epps.Unfortunately the way he went about recruiting boley backfired. He downplayed other schools interest and pressured her for a quick commitment.
Exactly correct..........you have know the family....That's her thing though....Lives in Larue County but attends High School in Hardin County at Elizabethtown...But Recruiting in High school doesn't happen....:scream:
Do you happen to know the family well? I'm assuming you do to have such an opinion.Exactly correct..........you have know the family....
All my life...Good Folks...It was a smart move for her to go to Elizabethtown...Just making the point that it's her thing...Exactly correct..........you have know the family....
It happens a lot. I actually know of a coach who dated different players mothers to get them to play at his school.Recruiting is a bigger thing then some think...It doesn't only happen at Trinity in Louisville. Hardin County feeds off the small County's around it.
Exactly....The funny thing about it is, if she would've gone to LaRue County, they would've won at least two state titles. Would've been three division 1 players on that team. Boley, Boo Brewer's daughter Alexis (Now at WVU) and Ivy Brown, who won Miss Basketball last year, and is now at WKU. All three were 1st team all State.
Etown had 5 D1 players, so your wrong on all levels. By the way, Marion County had 6, and only won 1 title. Please type facts and not things you "think"could/may happenif she would've gone to LaRue County, they would've won at least two state titles. Would've been three division 1 players on that team
Zipp DuncanI don't remember the boy from Magnolia who played for Etown basketball
Chaz Cruse played baseball for Etown, lived out in Hardin County
Isaac Knable was a 4 time wrestling state champ for St. X, family from Indiana
Bradbury kid from Central Hadin ended up finishing at Trinity
KHSAA is a joke when it comes to this kind of stuff
And yes Justin, I know the family
Mine isn't an opinion, mine is a fact. You sound butt hurt that Hardin County is getting the better athletes in the area. Bottom line, Etown is a independent school, anyone in the state can go there but must pay a tuition. A family has right to decide to play for a winner, or a loser. I bet these kids you are naming didn't come to a message board for consultation.Opinions are like @ss holes and we all have them....As for oldsports_ your opinion is just that and only that...An Opinion...Nothing more....
Steveo51.....back in 1974, the two countys (Hardin/Larue) had an agreement like most adjoining counties, where kids can go to either school tuition free. Nelson/Larue have that agreement to this day, your story seems a little far fetched maybe. In 1974 some people associated with the Etown baseball team told my Dad that the tuition issue could be handled if my brother went to play baseball there
He wouldn't think of it
re check that, I think your confusedZipp Duncan
We didn't live in LaRue County in 1974Steveo51.....back in 1974, the two countys (Hardin/Larue) had an agreement like most adjoining counties, where kids can go to either school tuition free. Nelson/Larue have that agreement to this day, your story seems a little far fetched maybe.
I live in Larue and know Zipp and his family very well. I have live/lived in Magnolia all my life. Zipp did as wellre check that, I think your confused
But you live there now? Most from Larue cant stand anything about Etown. We didn't live in LaRue County in 1974
As for the Larue/ Nelson thing That's the New Haven/Lyons Station Area.Steveo51.....back in 1974, the two countys (Hardin/Larue) had an agreement like most adjoining counties, where kids can go to either school tuition free. ..........I live in Larue and know Zipp and his family very well. I have live/lived in Magnolia all my life. Zipp did as well
St. X has several kids from Indiana, athletes or not. Not sure why one kid who happens to wrestle is included in your list.I don't remember the boy from Magnolia who played for Etown basketball
Chaz Cruse played baseball for Etown, lived out in Hardin County
Isaac Knable was a 4 time wrestling state champ for St. X, family from Indiana
