Must have carried over to Creighton. Dude sits so far down the bench he's hidden from wide angle camera shots. Worse ROI than "donating" to Swarm.Actually, no he wasn't. Thats how you could tell he'd checked out with his pinky injury. I remember one game where we came back on some PS hero ball and the players were all going crazy, and the only one who looked totally disinterested was Freeman. No high fives and everybody pretty much ignored him. The players all knew he was gone already....
Yea, and honestly, I'm not trying to bag on anyone. Not Jan and certainly not Emily, because I don't know what her injury is. Just sayin that normally "day to day' means chance they might play that week or the next game etc...but 2 MONTHS? Sorry, but the only thing this seems to compare to was Keegan Johnson and his mysterious stomach issue that went on almost the whole season, and then he was gone......Maybe Jan should say month to month? I say year to year
Something I haven't seen anyone postulate, and it would explain a great deal of this:
Perhaps, as theory, Emely is having problems, but not "physical," and not the kind you bring to a press conference. It would explain the absence, explain the tap dancing around it, and explain why she is still with the team sorting things out. If this were the case, you have to protect the person over the player, and Jan and the program have been doing the right thing. No idea what this means for the future, but right now you say it's a chronic back problem, and try to keep people from pressing the issue.
If it's not this at all, I apologize for speculating it on an open forum, and apologize to Emely. If I'm close, I wish her the best and urge her to take things day to day. She's part of a team, and the future and her dreams are still in front of her.
Pressure can be a crazy thing.
I’m not saying this impossible, but it seems like people are going out of their way to find alternate explanations other than the one that’s most likelySomething I haven't seen anyone postulate, and it would explain a great deal of this:

Interesting take because that was 7 points against non-BIG talent.it's quite impressive the amount of attention that Emely has created on this board
it's a lot of theory and speculation for a 7 pts per game scorer
Solid point.Interesting take because that was 7 points against non-BIG talent.
That there was a dispute with the coaching staff, whether over playing time or something else, and she will transfer at end of season. I could be completely wrong, but I don’t think Jan would be saying “she’s with the team, for now” if it was truly only a back injury or if she was having mental health struggles. What's most likely?
It might be up to 17 points per game now if she had been playing. You don't know.it's quite impressive the amount of attention that Emely has created on this board

She shouldn't be on the team if she's leaving imo. I wouldn't care what other "incoming recruits" might think. You either wanna be here or you go, now, not at the end of the season. She's not fulfilling her end of the bargain so why should iowa. That's what I'd do if I were running it, but I'm notThat there was a dispute with the coaching staff, whether over playing time or something else, and she will transfer at end of season. I fully agree. Will be interesting to see whether she stays or goesShe shouldn't be on the team if she's leaving imo. I wouldn't care what other "incoming recruits" might think. Hey! He had a very sensitive tummy and those are very difficult to diagnose as any doctor would tell you. Kind of like back issues.Yea, and honestly, I'm not trying to bag on anyone. In the two games she did play against P4 teams (Baylor and Miami) that's where she struggled mightily
maybe it was "the back" injury, either way it's a very small sample size
She is not listed as out for tonights game on the Big Ten availability report? Not sure what that would indicate. What I was told she had been showing up late to practices. It sounded like she wasn't buying into the expectations or the culture. I do NOT know what this means for her future.
Certainly could have led to her suspension. I think this is also a side effect of having three "senior leaders" who are just really nice girls, in Kylie, Hannah and Jada the social butterfly. I cant imagine that type of situation happening with CC22, and Kate Martin as seniors. That would have been handled before it even got to the coaches....What I was told she had been showing up late to practices. It sounded like she wasn't buying into the expectations or the culture. You are correct, I wish I hadn't posted this thread. I was the first to say that I thought she would return.IF Emely is thinking about transferring, this discussion might make the decision to transfer pretty easy. A lot of assuming negative things happening here.
If athletes are using message boards to weigh their options...woof. I've read/heard more intelligent "discussions" on online gaming chats.IF Emely is thinking about transferring, this discussion might make the decision to transfer pretty easy. A lot of assuming negative things happening here.
I bet she doesn't give a rats behind what anyone is saying on here. Like almost 100% certain of itIF Emely is thinking about transferring, this discussion might make the decision to transfer pretty easy. A lot of assuming negative things happening here.
If she's looking at online content, this would likely be as tame as it gets.IF Emely is thinking about transferring, this discussion might make the decision to transfer pretty easy. A lot of assuming negative things happening here.
