For 30 years my NCAA tournament pain has been limited to watching my brackets get busted. This year is a whole lot different.
I’m devastated. I don’t think I’ve spoken a word out loud since the final buzzer. But this pain means we got there. We actually made the dance. We won a game and we were a short hair away from the Sweet Sixteen.
It’s better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. Thanks to this year’s team and last year’s. It was a heck of a ride for this Class of 94 die hard.
I look forward to November and seeing what next season will bring even knowing it will likely end with a loss as each season does for all but one team that makes the Dance.
