I know Jan ( and Bluder before CC) have always valued the post offense. Look at the numbers Gustafson, Czinano, etc put up at the Center position. And obviously the Czinano numbers were helped by CC being able to spread the floor and feeding her for her no dribble shots. Think about in the past even before CC how good we were with post players and also feeding the post. I just don't understand how we can continue to have 5-7 errant passes into the post game after game. We are particularly bad at feeding the post from the wing, but also the high/low where they sag off Stuelke or even Heiden when she's up top trying to force a pass down low just drives me crazy. We have been so good for so long at it and that is also what Jan is supposedly known for.

18 turnovers..... Just continues to be a problem. They have a TON of turnovers trying to feed the post.

NIL changes things. They are paid players now and not so much student athletes.

Please provide some facts regarding the Iowa WBB team. Before you go there, they have a pretty good record as student athletes.

Unless another CC shows up, this is about the peak for Iowa Basketball (men's or women's). Top 15, chance to make the sweet 16 and possibly Elite-8 if things go well. They have a puncher's chance in almost every game. It's very good considering all of the factors going against them in the race for players (NIL, weather, location, etc)........Just my opinion after 50 years of following bball - and football for that matter.....

Well that's exactly where we've been for the last 50 years so not sure anyone could really disagree. We had our comet in CC and almost got there, and had some incredible highs beating the best of the best in UConn and of course the S Carolina win in the semis as well. Almost a Natty but just didn't have the horses even with CC. While we clearly have a few disadvantages, we also have a lot going for us. Great conference, a school that actually cares about women's bball and of course 15K at every home game for 3 years.

How many senior starters does UCLA have? How many years have they started together? Majority of our team is Freshman and Sophmores. Most of the sophomores didn't play much last year. UCLA was #2 in the country and we played on their homecourt. Some people need to relax. Aren't we second in the conference? We will be fine.
No, we are not 2nd in the conference....

Yep, that about sums it up. Missing out on Bjorn, Lewis and harpring may have kept iowa from reaching the promised land, who knows. Iowa women still have a damn good thing going that many teams envy, people need to remember that...including me
