was on Joe Rogan's podcast, I know some of y'all hate Joe Rogan. I listen to his podcast occasionally not because of JR but because he has some very interesting guest. They discuss one of his companies is developing technology to implant an AI brain chip. It could do some real good but at the same time it seems scary and could eventually become Skynet from the Terminator and control us all.

I watched the first episode (the one with the joint). It was good, but long. I think he mentioned “changing out the unit” in that episode with regards to his biomedical company.

All of Joe's podcast are really long and it has to be really interesting for me to listen to one from beginning to end and I never listen to the first 8-10 minutes of advertising

I would listen to them on long drives. Haven’t listened to one since Covid. But I’m building a nice backlog for when I get back out there.

I don’t miss Bill Burr though* love his podcast

Who are these losers? Who doesn't like Rogan? Stand up comedy is good. He's the best mma commentator out and it isn't close. Host the best podcast out. Are these the same guys that say Kate Upton isn't hot?

Not surprising I guess. He’s genuinely curious and brings on people of all over the spectrum to y’all. I could see how that not for you if you watch fox/msnbc on loop and just want your biases confirmed. Funny in that thread he’s called a liberal and liberals call him alt right.

Rogan podcast is great he’s very open minded about who he brings on.
Gets some great guest and are good long form discussions.
He’s stand up on the other hand is mediocre at best. I know he’s been doing it a long time doesn’t really make you good though. Really out of the sober October guys that seem to be his close friends Tom Segura is the only one that makes me laugh.

I listened to the whole thing. It's incredibly fascinating. The first hour was dedicated to the brain implant that in its early generations will be implemented to bypass weak or broken electrical impulses in blind, quadriplegic, epileptic patients to totally restore regular function. He aims to CURE Alzheimer's disease. Further gens could make spoken language unnecessary between people who are linked together. Further gens will allow people to "live more in the cloud than in their body."

He talks about it as though it's just a matter of time. It reminded me of the tower of Babel when God decided to throw everyone into confusion lest nothing be impossible for them. It's worth the listen.

I typically agree on the sober October crew. Never cared for Ari. That said, Bert Kreisher’s new special “Hey Big Boy” is his best work by far. Outside of the machine bit I’ve never loved his specials. Tom is typically my favorite but Bert’s new one vs Tom’s new one, no comparison. Rogan isn’t my favorite stand up but I don’t know that I’d call him average. I always watch his specials and laugh. Sells out arenas and his shows with Chappelle are bonkers. While I’m here, Tom and Bert’s pod is hilarious. 2 Bears 1 Cave

I thought the podcast was okay compared to the first... Most likely because I had built some expectations up from their first encounter. I do want the cyber truck. I don't know why because it is objectively hideous aesthetic.

Elon Musk is on a whole other level. Not real sure he is human. I watched both of the podcasts with him. I like them for the most part. The one with Akroyd was good. Elon baby mama is pretty hot too. Crazy name they gave the poor kid tho. Hope he can throw hands

Rogan is a fake intellectual dipshit.
I get this take and I’m not calling him an intellectual but he does like to talk about interesting things with interesting people.
I don’t think he pretends to be an intellectual.
Also don’t think he has an agenda besides selling his supplements and promoting his comedy And comedian friends

I suppose the term for him is "eccentric". He's a genius, but also somewhat of a nut.

I sure hope that launch in two or three weeks goes well though.

He may be brilliant, but

what he did last week, was unaccusable.

Glad I did not have any Tesla stock at the time.

^ this. Rogan is the man. I’ve learned so much from
his podcast and the best part imo is that he goes from one subject to the next like it’s nothing with really interesting information about you name it.

I don’t think he pretends to be intelligent. In fact, he often says how big of a dumb *** he is but in reality he’s really smart and knows a lot of information about a lot of stuff.

Joe Rogan's political leanings are different than mine, but he is very objective and very intelligent and is very good at all aspects of podcasting and I respect his viewpoints.

I went back to the April 7 pod with Dan Crenshaw to check that one out and it was a damn good one.
The one-eyed former Seal is equal parts badass and socio-political mind.
