Ellen is a Rock Chalk Jayhawk. Of course, she is a good Basketball wife...she probably breaks down film for the coaching staff.
Well, you know, every spouse kinda signs on to something not chosen when they get married, because you never know what joining your life with someone else's will bring.
But, if I'm gonna "salute" someone as a supposed martyr making sacrifice by doing so, I think I'll choose the ones who, for example, saw a spouse die or get laid off forcing them to take two jobs to care for children, rather than one whose spouse provided a fabulously lucrative life with many many millions of dollars in the bank account.
