Having relatives in Norway, I know that most Norwegians speak English, I would imagine the same for most Swedes.

Yes, I would think English language proficiency would be required before being admitted to the University of Iowa.

I imagine her case is different from Paula Valiño Ramos, who was also a late addition in the recruiting process. She actually played a year in the US as a high school student, and basically sent her own résumé to the Iowa coaching staff.

By the way I wonder how Paula's scientific career is going. She was a student researching assistant in the biomedical field while at UI. Even had her photo up on the lampposts in downtown Iowa City.

Another post says she will be late. High school finishes June something and then she will play for the Swedish team of some sort.

It’s still up in the air on when she will arrive on campus. Sounds like she may be involved with some Swedish national team stuff that could delay her arrival.

I hope to be able to post something similar to what I did with McKenna Woliczko when that time comes.

No doubt why she's basically considered a developmental player. Being right out of high school (with some national team experience) but she'll be pretty far behind her team mates with workouts and getting comfortable and assimilating with the team.

A couple of posts mentioned her working with the Swedish national team this summer. I'd imagine that's where she's been. In previous seasons she would certainly have redshirted this season, since she's not going to be with the team until school starts, but with the new 5 for 5 rule, this will just be a learning year for her.

Here she is 3rd best starting scorer on this team. However, the team came in last with a 1 and 23 record.
