am i right in thinking this will be a more balanced and complete team than we had with caitlin. will be better at center (more experience, size, bodies), and have more credible depth at guard and forward to play tougher D. the major loss is ability to create and take shots under duress. if we have a different gameplan that matches personnel, like op says, maybe we don't fade away.

I'm still holding out for Lewis. Hawks need to keep top 20 talent home.

So I missed the whole thing with Lewis. Why are people saying the Hawks are out?

I think if you took the top talent in Iowa right now and everyone stayed home, that would be a tournament team at minimum.

I think you are exactly right. More balanced and complete with more high level talent coming off the bench than ever, especially as you say at the center position. The Hawks have never had two centers of this caliber together on the same team ever, including last season when they had both O’Grady and Ediger with Heiden. They are also taller in general and more athletic at the guard and forward positions. The only thing lacking is overall experience, and they will get that throughout the season. I think a Sweet Sixteen this season is a very attainable achievement and a national title in the future is a reasonable hope. Go Hawks!
