Familiarize yourself

I'm in lot 11 and Need to get to highway 82 east. I may just tailgate to midnight to wait it out.

If you follow the required directions after the game, you may wind up somewhere you've never been before. We always wanted to get to 82E, toward Columbus, after the games but it's virtually impossible. Long story short, we would up on a gravel road somewhere south of campus, and the road eventually intersected Hwy 45. Even GPS didn't help much. Plus, there's one intersection on campus with several police cars flashing high intensity blue lights and you can't see a darn thing - barely able to see the guy directing traffic.

So it's best to let the traffic die down, then go on the roads you want to use. It's like that at every other place I've ever been to after a game, except Georgia Tech. Atlanta is able to handle game traffic and not even notice it.

I won’t be able to make tomorrow but had already scoped it out for the Oklahoma game. I gave up parking in what I consider “on campus” lots due to the cluster of actually getting where I need to go after the game. I have to head back to the Jackson metro so I bought a pass at the rec softball fields. Prefer the vet school but found out last season they won’t let you out onto Hail State Blvd from there anymore.

Yeah I'm usually in lot 13. I've found I can take blackjack, left on to some gravel rd and end up on 82. Or take Oktoc to Artesia rd and hit 45. I prefer oktoc to Artesia but just feels out of the way, slightly. (Im headed to N MS)

I usually have to go to the west side of town by the airport after games, but blackjack and 12 are absolute zoos, so I end up going out george bailey and going west on 182, hopping onto 82 to go back east and bypass everything to 25. Feels like I'm going around the world to cross the street, but I'm usually back at my place in 30 minutes or so.
