Eer made some very important points in his thread concerning WVU and Dana. I would
like to add to that. Only a current snapshot, but WVU, after this past weekend is ranked
ahead of Notre Dame, LSU,USC, Oregon, Florida State, Michigan State, Georgia, VA Tech,
Pitt, Penn State, TCU, Auburn, Texas, and others. The talent level is much improved, and
we will be solid at QB next season. WVU should act now and extend Dana. We have also
won 9 out of last 10 games. Recruiting is critical now plus, there will likely be an opening
at Houston at year end for a head coach. With no contract extension, and for projection
purposes, if WVU is 8 and 4 or 9 and 3 at end of regular season, I doubt if Dana will
stick around if offered, especially in Southwest. We have the best group of assistants
that I have seen at WVU since the explosion of college sports, especially FBS power 5
setup.
