There are going to be a lot of guys leaving. My question is will there be anyone staying who we actually want to stay?

Dude has stone hands and is soft on defense. Other than being tall I dont see what he brought to the table.

We were two scholarships over, and with Keita, Kojenets, Breidenbach and possibly Walker coming back, well, Eduardo probably saw the proverbial writing on the wall.

Man he was starting to play better. IMO, that's a big loss.

I wish him well but this is a good thing. Andre is not a Big Ten level player.

I don't think Andre is a big loss, but I think he could land on a decent team if he's willing to accept a bench role. He could give Creighton 8-10 minutes off the bench and be a practice sparring partner for Kalkbrenner - much like Feazell did.

IMO he was finally playing with some gusto at the end of this year and I thought he was playing better the more minutes he got. I think we'll miss his size next fall and I also think he'll have some success wherever he lands.

Had some good offers out of HS. Increased playing time by 3 minutes which doesn't show much improvement or trust by the coaching staff.

Found this:

Andre, who will be a third-year sophomore next season, averaged 2.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per game on 59.8% shooting in two seasons with the Huskers. He also posted a team-high 29.6% turnover rate last season.
Andre chose Nebraska over Illinois, Maryland and Texas A&M after graduating from Chandler (Ariz.) Compass Prep in 2020. He assumed Nebraska’s backup center minutes after recovering from COVID-19 during the 2020-21 season, and the Huskers had big long-term plans for the big man.

“With his size and length, his goal should be to play basketball at the highest level,” coach Fred Hoiberg told The World-Herald last summer. “And if he just focuses on little things and continues to improve the skill set, he's going to have a chance.”

Andre played 11.5 minutes per game last season after playing 8.8 the year before. He set career highs for points per game (3.1) and rebounds per game (3.2). But now he’s in the portal.

I don't disagree, but I think he'd be better off getting a bench role on a good team as opposed to looking for 25 minutes per game. To do that, he would have to go DII or find a team even worse than NU.

Or find a team better than NU who just needs a big to complete their starting lineup. I don't think Fred's offense is a great fit for a big who doesn't have a perimeter shot.

Fred has to win now, right away. He has to cut the "dead weight" and find some guys who can score. With Bryce and Verge moving on, we don't really have any playmakers on the roster. He has to hit the portal hard for scorers if he wants to keep his job.

Reminded me of Ouedraogo. Tons of potential, but cannot handle the ball at all, and not disciplined on defense.

His overall stats I don't think give us what he could be going forward based on his last few games in a Husker uniform. That said, given the guy we have coming in, Andre might have seen the handwriting on the wall.

As usual I agree DF. That said I think he didn't see a pathway to more playing time. Probably the best move ultimately imo. I wish him luck

That's what I am worried about too. But in all honesty, there are a lot of guys on that team who I wouldn't want to see come back anyway. So it's a tough situation. Sam Griesel was a good pickup though. Local kid, older, 14 ppg and shot 38% from 3. He'll play hard, unselfish and give a damn. So that's a good start.
