Watch the last made 3 by Purdue withe 29
Edey was in the paint for 8 seconds!!
I recounted and rewatched 3 times
He never left the paint he was in there for 3 seconds before he got and then another 5
And that was only that time he did it all game
The 3 second call just isn’t made in college basketball. There has been one 3 second call at RAC games this year. A few years ago I counted 4 for the season. Needs to be called more but I can see how it might be tough one for the refs amidst all the action. Edey benefits more than most.

We should put that in the memory bank for next year, assuming Purdue plays at the RAC
Have the riot squad count one, two, three
every time he camps out in the post
After the first time maybe the refs pay attention
That's a great idea!! If the refs can figure out what they actually are doing!!

That’s a pet peeve of mine. I said it before the season started. Eddy camps in the lane all the time and never gets called for three seconds.

He will be in NBA or G League. Wont be at Jersey Mikes
you may be right......but If Purdue comes up short this year, he might be tempted to stay one more year..... I am sure his coach can be very persuasive about unfinished business

There are 3 refs and it's a pretty basic rule. I can understand if they let it go sometimes a second or two over - but for a player to constantly be allowed to grossly abuse the rule is bad officiating.

There are 3 refs and they constantly miss travels and of course as we know stepping out of bounds just mid boggling!!
Think of how many years they only had 2 refs

I agree with you that it is a big problem. It happens multiple times a game but is virtually never called. I‘m a season ticket holder who has been at most games this year and 3 seconds has only been called once all year at the RAC. I suspect that is because a ref does not fix his eyes on one player who is off the ball for long. There’s too much else going on. That’s my guess.

The text chain I had going during the game, a few guys were screaming about Edey and 3 seconds multiple times. But imagine the ref waving off that three pointer because Edey was in the paint too long. The ref wouldn't get out of West Lafayette alive.

Screaming for 3 second calls was my specialty at the RAC as a student in the early 90’s. It worked a few times and it was glorious.
