What were his stats at SDSU? If I remember correctly he barely played. May be more of a UNO transfer type of recruit right now. Hoiberg is going to be recruiting on a different level than we are use to. Can't wait to see the upgrades to our roster. GBF!!!!

He averaged less than 2 points per game in the Mountain West. He's definitely not a Big Ten Caliber player.

The only thing I would ask is how big is he now and how big can he get? He was listed this past year on SDSU's roster at 6-8 and 215. We're desperate for some size. IF he could get to 6-9 235, we could use him just to play defense. Obviously Fred will do what he thinks is best but I wouldn't criticize him if he picked him up.

I would agree with this if it wasn't such a long commitment. If I'm reading the article correctly, Chang would sit out this coming season as a transfer and then have three years to play at NU. That's an awfully long time to carry him on scholarship, so he needs to bring something significant to the table.

He looks awfully skinny in the only pics I can find of him. We need some beef.

There would appear to be some red flags attached here to with how his last couple years have shaken out. Left Papio after committing to Washington to be at a high school closer to UW. Somewhere in that time his commitment falls through and he ends up as a late commit to SDSU. Barely plays and leaves after a year. That’s a lot of transition in less than two years.

He's on the "see the world" college plan.

In the world of "high school" elite basketball, that path is not unusual at all. It's a different world.

I play ball every week with a kid who played with Chang at Papio. He isn’t that good. I think Hoiberg can and will do better.

Ed didn't play his senior season in Washington because of their transfer rules. (Got some really bad advice from someone.) At SDSU he only played 50 minutes in 13 games and had 6 three pointers on the season. A San Diego article said he struggled to get on the floor because of his defense.
