I'm not saying you are wrong, but can you flesh out what you mean here?

the top brass at the fbi and cia along with certain state dept officials as well as obama white house staffers tried to derail the trump campaign by planting fake evidence.

Are you really disappointed in 2.5% growth? Or do you actually hope that the economy tanks so you can say told you so?

I remember when Obama posted a 2.5% gdp growth rate in 2014 and a 2.9% in 2015 (after 6 years of his socialist policies). It was like a big cocktail party with all of you conservative republicans, tea partiers (whatever happened to you guys anyway?) and Trump himself celebrating Obama's success. Every day you and others were on here wishing Obama continued success. Oh right that did not happen.

trumpsters like @scotchtiger want us to believe that the US economy was a hellscape during the Obama years, and it only turned around when we elected the lord trump. That is simply not true. The only record Trump is breaking is adding to our national debt (he is on track to add almost $10 trillion).

I dont want the economy to fail, even though my own business is not that affected by the economy. In some ways demand goes up in a recession. I am allowed to debate @scotchtiger on the merits of the tax increase. Debate is what America is all about.

My accountant just called me back and confirmed that I made more money than ever in 2018, paid a lower effective tax rate than I have in years and noted that my investment accounts have never been larger.

Things are good in the economy my man.

When facts no longer support your argument, turn to personal anecdotes.

So because some republicans didnt bow down to the almighty Obama you refuse to give trump credit?

Someone has to break the chain. If not you then who? If not now then when?

Just kick the can down the road until a Dem gets in office.

Yes both sides have this same issue. Every dadgum politician truly looks out for themselves first. At least that is the impression. I think a few on each side are truly doing this job out of a sense of patriotism and service. But not enough.

Not sure what that has to do with the Russians. I'll watch the videos when I get home tonight.

the russians were not the enemy of our election process. they meddled for sure.

The sentence seems like a contradiction. They "were not the enemy of our election" but then "They meddled for sure"

So they meddled but were not effective? Or am I still reading that wrong?

apparently they were in the data bases of all 50 states. did nothing. just snooped. no evidence of vote tampering.

but fake websites and stories that were picked up by CNN and MSNBC were effective in hurting Trump.

hell Wilbur Ross said a Boeing deal was worth .4 on the gdp. that's huge for just one company to have that much effect on gdp.

Just saying your argument that Obama did well for the economy but you dont think Trump has been good for the economy is interesting. You seem to give Obama credit.

who you think is creating all these new businesses and jobs?

we pay 20% of our income on social security and medicare. hope thats not the problem.

if we put everyone on medicare, then maybe american taxpayers should double that to 40% of our income.

vote for democrats. they want your paycheck.

It should be noted that the Russians (and probably others) have tried to mess with US Elections since the 50s (give or take). Usually through influence via donations, etc - but I'm sure espionage was used as well. Part of it started with the American Communist Party I believe. Russian influence is nothing new. They'll probably do it in 2020 as well.

Likely as not the US has done it to any elections they have had in Russia as well. And both do to everyone else.

The tools have changed (social media now) and the magnitude may be different now. Snooping is something new, but at this point I don't even know what the Russians are supposed to have DONE specifically other than gather dirt on candidates.

CNN Ratings Continue To Plummet Amid Credibility Crisis; Fox News Takes Top Spot

The network's overall viewership was way below that of rivals MSNBC and Fox News that occupied the prominent position. Even in primetime slots, none of CNN shows even made it to the top 10 position.

July 12, 2019

The latest data for TV ratings are in and it seems CNN is in quite some trouble again. Viewership for the channel continues to plummet, according to figures compiled by Nielsen. During the second quarter of 2019, the overall viewership for CNN averaged 541,000, 900,000 for MSNBC and for Fox News, it was 1.3 million occupying the number 1 spot.

The key area of its struggle, however, has been the prime time slots between 8 pm to 11 pm. CNN had an average of 761,000 primetime viewers while Fox News Network averaged 2.4 million. CNN's primetime viewership was also behind that of MSNBC that had 1.7 million prime-time viewers.

draining the swamp.

"Part of the reason(CNN IS PLUMMETING), is also the anti-Trump stance that the network is known for. Despite this, it seems this programming strategy will remain in place for the time being."

after watching a bloomberg interview

now watch erin on cnn

this is why cnn is dying.

I dunno, I feel like all cable news is dying, because cable is dying. Fox intentionally appeals to an older generation who is less likely to cut the cord.

CNN is crushing it online (these stats are a little dated, from 2018):

#1 IN MULTIPLATFORM VISITORS
CNN: 122 Million Unique Visitors
  • Yahoo News – 98 million unique visitors
  • The New York Times Brand – 92 million unique visitors
  • WashingtonPost.com – 91 million unique visitors
  • FoxNews.com – 89 million unique visitors
  • BuzzFeed.com – 67 million unique visitors

#1 IN VIDEO STARTS
As the leader in news video for 32 straight months, CNN again topped all competitors in digital video starts, and had nearly triple the number of video starts of second place Fox News.

CNN BEATS FOX NEWS IN MULTIPLATFORM VIEWS LIKE IT’S 2012

wonder if that is accurate reflection? never know what stats are real not named nielsons lol

seems like out right lying on cnn by anchors are wearing on people.

sometimes i do see fox anchors bending the facts, but not just out right lying to the public.

foxbusiness channel has been peaking my interest more than than the others. seems to get deeper into issue with politicizing it.

This president gambled that economic prosperity with tariffs (what free market Republicans used to call everything from treasonous and unamerican) that have resulted in hundreds of millions in taxpayer funded bailouts to farmers and a potential bubble on the horizon from THE biggest deficit spending in our nation's history (to which teaparty repubs and fiscal conservatives don't say a peep) and tax cuts that have enriched the rich (short term fuel with potentially disastrous long term impacts just like Bush tax cuts and Reagan era tax cuts).
