Well, I now know he has interest from Tennessee and UConn as well.
This one seems simple, thankfully. Back up for Diallo or an attempt to build depth like the staff contemplated with the Ingram kid that committed to Bama. Either way, cool.

Sounds like UK not very confident with Diallo. Top 75 player. Could be worse.
Not sure that is it but it just shows that Cal is leaving no stone unturned to shore up the roster.

I agree that Diallo factors in to this move but I don't agree that it has to mean we aren't feeling good about landing him. Buzz right now is the exact opposite, actually.
I feel like everything is getting more emphasized because this class has been a struggle to figure out. We recruit/look in to back up options like this one every single season. And that includes when we don't lose seven guys at once. Does anyone remember the names we were calling to show potential interest in before we finally got a commitment from Terrence Jones? Two of them were still playing college ball this past season.
I understand that this class is getting frustrating, but this call isn't raising red flags with me. This is normal.

Nothing is ever really for certain in recruiting and you've got to take into account every possible outcome, especially this late in the game and with a class this strange where almost every guy we're in on seems to have more outside factors and influences than usual impacting their decisions that has nothing to do with where they can win and contribute at the college level while simultaneously getting the best preparation for the NBA.

Surprised Charlotte was able to reel him in after looking at the schools recruiting him. That had to be considered a major recruiting coup for the previous staff.
Izundu will be a great addition if not for practice purposes only.

Bad job coaching team, I really don't rant, I'm getting a little older, recruiting? Having more talent than any other team losing, at best 3 extra NCAA championships! Not winning! One word Sad. ,
Booker is a pretty miserable fan if you can tell by now . I don't think i have seen a happy post from him yet , There is a reason he is on ignore .Low post count and troll type comments do not a good poster make.....
When exactly did they reach out to this guy? Met with Diallo yesterday, and he started following Perry Ellis today, to go along with a bunch of other KU players. Ugh. This spring sucks.
Izundu was the 75th ranked player in the 2106 top 100 but reclassified and committed to UNC Charlotte for 2015 which is why he's under the radar and not ranked as high. I want him even if we get Diallo just to have another big on the bench. Same with Mulder even if we get Murray or Newman, just to have another scoring option on the bench, but there are only so many scholarships.

Read a piece that said he has a 'high motor' and is athletic. Will take almost anything or anybody with a high motor. Just not a lot of those anymore.
If Cal hasn't offered and Kansas is now visiting that sounds good for us with Diallo.
Tucker said the staff would probably check him out at a tourney in Atlanta this weekend
