Game rescheduled until tonight. Who wins this game? Any predictions on this one? Going to be tough on Northern with the injury to #7
You can't win it every year people. To be honest Coach Roscoe will get some of those kids back before playoff time and mark my words.....The Nighthawks will go on the road during the playoffs and upset a couple teams that should contend for the Championship. They might not have the horses to win it all this year but Coach Roscoe's teams will fight until the very end. People may not like him for the crap that went on in 2008/2009 (even me being a NW fan) but you have to respect the man as a Football Coach.Ahahahaha! stick a fork in them! No chance at a ship this year.
I think the last thing you can say about Northern is they're poorly coached. Could the coaches made a mistake....yes but you don't win all those championships in NC and in SC by being poorly coached I don't care how much talent you have. I think Northern is down on talent this year, they're really beat up with injuries, and they are very young. This is the first conference loss at home for Northern in the HISTORY of the school! So for someone to say poorly coached is.....nevermind. I remember when they played NW they had several sophomores and even freshmen starting that in a Normal year wouldn't see the field. Glad to see that some teams are finally having success in the conference besides Northern. Big question for me is how long does Roscoe hang around? I hope he decides to hang around. Football in this area is a lot better with the Super Villain Johnny Roscoe Coaching.Northern is done. Hate to say it but they have no fight left in them. EA beat them soundly tonight. They will loose at least 1 or 2 more times this year. They looked tired, deflated, and completely unmotivated tonight. On top of that, surprisingly very poorly coached. Penalties left and right, not having the right personnel in the game. One particular play in 2nd half they had eastern 4th and 4 and punting. They had to burn a time out cause they had 13 or 14 players on field. After the time out, eastern punted and northern got flagged for having 12 men on field giving EA a 1st down. How do u come out of a time out and still have too many on field. Just one ex. But unreal!!
Warhead, if you read my comment I stated "surprisingly not very well coached". I agree that to win like they have you have to have good coaching. If you weren't there you can't comment. That was just one example I gave, but there were numerous times when they had too many or not enough. There was no sense of urgency whatsoever from the team or the coaches on the sidelines. The play calling was very bland in the 1st three quarters. They finally opened it up in the 4th quarter and made a little bit of a game of it. It's easy to sit in the stands and criticize coaching no doubt. Just makes you wonder if they had done that the whole game if it would have made a difference.I think the last thing you can say about Northern is they're poorly coached. Again, having too many or not enough kids on the field goes back to playing so many inexperienced kids against a 3A State Championship contender in Eastern Alamance. No excitement or energy comes from probably the fact that most of their starters are injured. Not as if that's an excuse for losing but you bring JV kids up or 2's and 3's that have never played or have much experience in a Varsity atmosphere they don't have the same swagger as kids with experience. Also, play calling is going to be bland when you are beat up with injuries and you have a struggling starting QB. So...sounds like you are agreeing with most everything I was saying.Warhead, if you read my comment I stated "surprisingly not very well coached".
