I'm currently sitting at the bar at St. Louis Union Station. It's about a 10 minute walk to the arena from here.

So far I've seen a few Santa Clara fans and a Purdue fan.

I have seen zero UK fans so far. Granted I've only been here a few hours and walked around the outside of the hotel to a pub next door, but that's still pretty crazy to me.

Is everyone driving over in the morning or are folks really that apathetic?

I’m sure a bunch will show up but the prospect of Iowa State in the second round probably doesn’t set well with those making a full weekend plan with this team and coach.
For sure. Which is why I only bought tickets for tomorrow. I'll watch from my couch on Sunday if we make it there.

The Kentucky fans are wearing grocery bags without eye-holes. 😎

I bet there are plenty of UK fans in St. Louis, but that no one wants to be around this guy and they're just giving him a wiiiiide berth.

Sorry OP. You stanky.

Last time UK was in St Louis during the NCAA tournament they beat Kansas State in the first round and number one see Wichita State in the second round en route to going to the Finals against UCONN.

That’s where we stayed for the SEC tournament in 2018.

UK fans took over St Louis.

I would bet there will be more UK fans there tomorrow than for any team.

The second game will be an empty building.

UK fans with less enthusiasm still outnumber everyone else by far.

You are VASTLY underestimating Iowa St fans. I would but money on them outnumbering UK fans by a wide margin, given the circumstances.

The train station is really cool, but it's an odd sports venue.

UK fans will probably be at the Wheelhouse or Tin Roof on the opposite side of the arena.

Only a four hour drive from Louisville to STL, a bit longer for folks that live in Lexington. And I think there's an hour time difference so folks might leave early this morning to make the drive.

I’d say many might not even book a hotel, at least until we win the first game.

That's what we've been doing the last few years with the SECT. Book the hotel one night at a time. Unlike historically you'd book your room through until Sunday. Not anymore.

My daughter goes to college close, I would have went but everything is so expensive these days.
I am not gonna kick a team while they had so many injuries but I just cannot spend the money with so much uncertainty.
I would love to see them go on a run, I am sure many of us would pony up some money if we could somehow get past the first 3 games.

So it would appear that the hotel where I'm staying is where the Santa Clara alumni association has taken over. They're having a big pep rally right now in the lobby. That would explain the lack of UK fans here although I did see a few at breakfast.

Walking down to the Enterprise Center in a bit and will provide more anecdotal evidence.

Does the hotel have one of those waffle makers that you flip over?

That would explain the SC fans, they love waffles.
