So he will be able to pitch again. I assume there are different degrees of it.
There is a new procedure where they don't have to do such an invasive version of Tommy John. It is pretty rare though, and 95 percent of injuries don't qualify

I'm kind of a fantasy baseball nerd and I like listening to Stephania Bell on ESPN for medical stuff. She has written and talked quite a bit about the commonly perpetuated myth that every TJ surgery is successful and that it improves performance. It's interesting. I'd sure hate for one of my sons to need TJ surgery in their teens or early 20's.

Some have TJ and come back stronger and throw harder
I believe you’re thinking of the movie Rookie of the Year.

I’ve seen the movie multiple times, but not in about a decade plus. My bad. :(

You know Rosenbagger was the better pitcher, though.

I don't think they say either way in the movie...... The book does however, although I don't believe it was ever truly TJ surgery.

The Huskers currently down 5-0 in the 5th to OSU Beavers.... Yuck.

Lucky it's that close. Could be 15 runs
