There’s no QB you would rather have than Jalen Hurts when you need rally from behind.
Hurts has been ok. It’s been the lack of a running game that’s killed them. The game could also be 16-10 if the Eagles kicked the early FG. They get the ball in the second half and need to capitalize.
It’s just who the Eagles are. Unless their running game is working, they’re very pedestrian. WFT is doing what it needs to on defense.
This is a great audition for Hurts. If he can’t help manufacture a win against a banged up Washington team with the playoffs on the line, then you know he’s not the long term answer.
Birds with 1st & goal from the 5 (I think) on their opening drive. They get stuffed on 3 runs, go for it on 4th down, and Boston Scott dives in for the TD. With the PAT, it's 16-14, WFT, with 7:21 left in the 3rd qtr.

I was thinking during the game that there must be a lot of Birds fans in the stands, as you can hear over the telecast a lot of cheers whenever the Birds do something good.
And then, I remembered that one of my offspring is at the game, cheering on the Birds.

Birds just grinding up clock. Scoring 3 would be nice, but scoring 7 would pretty much be the game.
