Odds makers generally value home field as a 3-7 point advantage. When your team is garbage and vastly outmatched 3-7 points doesn’t mean jack ****. Really no difference (or distinction) between getting smoked 45-13 or 45-7.

The fact Dylan is at 73.9% comp % considering he had some smart throwaways, a few near misses, and a couple other inaccurate throws we know he would typically complete….

Add to this, our backup is completing 100% of passes (8/8), and you can see what it means to have a capable QB room.

The sliding up in the pocket, the audibles, looking off defenders... stuff a lot of teams aren't sure if a junior or senior can do correctly. A great qb just raises up the whole team because the expectations are raised.
I went back and watched Tanner Lee’s “pocket awareness” and I will never question Dylan Raiola just from that.
personally just trying to hold down the lid a little on the pressure cooker of talent he has already exhibited. his family has a huge job ahead of them and have already exceeded normal expectations. absolute best to the young man and his future as this could get way out of hand in a hurry.
Add an endzone INT and an endzone missed wide open TE to win the game....... He's been great but man you gotta hit that pass. Stats don't mean much if you lose because you miss a wide open receiver....
So that pick is his fault? Yeah.... Ok. His two picks this year were great balls that our receivers needed to catch.
Yeah it was his throw. The intercepted ball was underthrown to a tightly covered guy. IMO it should have been called an incomplete pass because it hit the ground. It was a 50/50 ball and it would have been a helluva catch b oyur guy. The TD was a 50/50 ball when he threw it but the DB fell down. We're going to have to live with some INTs with this offense and Raiola is WAY better than what we've seen for a long time.
Kind of feel the same way, but it was a much tougher catch over the back of the DB on Friday than the week before… Neyor made a tremendous effort, but I felt like the pass was under thrown just enough it allowed the DB to make a play on the ball. Just my opinion.
I don't mind the interceptions and hope DR keeps throwing it deep where our guys have a chance to make a play or get fouled
And really that's okay. We're going to have to take shots like that if we can't run the ball consistently without Corc or Mazzccua. We're going to have to live with some of that. We need to realize they're going to make mistakes and not every ball is going to be perfect. Not every punt is going to be perfect. When you run out a freshman kicker, he's probably going to miss some kicks. Frustration for us as fans is normal but damn the drum beat has gotten louder today.
Gunnar gottula is literally the most important player on this team right now. The entire future of NU rests on him.
