Any word on him deciding? Last I heard he was down to a Wayne State football offer, and to walk-on deals for South Dakota and for Nebraska while running track as well.

As a reference point on this kid's speed - Nance ran a 10.66 100 meters (FAT timing) and Kautz has run a 10.65 100 meters (FAT timing also). I think he's more than just a speedster, though as he appears to have good burst and cutting ability

10.65 is reasonable time in the B10. If he shows he has potential a track scholarship isn't unreasonable, and it would be interesting to see what he can do with a top notch S&C program for track and for football

No updates from anything I heard but if he can get into the S/C program and develop and do both. Would be a nice scholly to give in a year or two from track to football. If he doesn’t play football but gets Track scholly and a good education, that would I hope work out well for him too.

Best of success to him wherever he ends up.

Would have been the second fastest guy on the track team behind Malcom White in the 100. Kautz’s 200 M time is also legit. Can he run a route and catch a ball?

It's interesting that he hasn't received more interest. He's small, but he's got some big time speed.

it sounds like he had a lot of walk-on interest from D1 schools and some offers from lower schools, but didn't want to put his family in the position of having to come up with the money.

I think the track scholarship with football as a walk on is a great option for him. He gets the scholarship and education and can pursue both and see where his development takes him. The speed is definitely interesting

It would be if the NCAA didn't make the scholarship count as a football scholarship, otherwise teams could create entire programs full of scholarships to get around the limit of 85.
