Every KU alum is nuts over hoops. It’s like PSU and football. It’s the identity of the whole institution. We offer something different - an opportunity to create history, which is not for everyone but hopefully Dylan sees the potential.
KU Alums are offering money in NIL to get things done. We offer opinions and that’s it. They are true diehards and money talks BS walks.

Will be real interesting if he waits until spring and ACE decides to do the same….lol

Board will meltdown…

At the end of the day, while I’ll be thrilled if this whole thing works out, I’m fine with continuing to do things the way we have, which is recruiting hungry, hard nosed players and willing our way to victories. Now what I won’t be thrilled about is recruits like Dean, Oscar, Jalen, etc. needs to be something in between…

Ace is all in. Not worried about his commitment.

Previously there would be vocal backlash against a recruit "making it all about himself" and taking full advantage of the recruiting process and likely called a "diva" that we should move on from.

This is the world we're in now.
If we want to recruit elite talent, it comes with the actions of elite talent.

Actually, it’s starting to get a little boring, rather than interesting. We’re either going to get him or we’re not. Ace might or might not go with him. I’m ready for THIS season now.
I believe Ace has already said that RU us going to be great with or without Dylan, plus if Dylan does not commit there will be more money for Ace.

I hope he comes. But if he doesn't that's the way things are.
Personally I'm a little tired of all this drama and speculation. Whoever suits up for RU this year or next or the one after that or the one after that I'll be rooting for them.
They should make a reality show out of this, that's how uninteresting it has become.
Just my opinion.

Same. It was fun for a while, now just tiring. Hoping he comes but im done following what he does each day. It's too much at this point.

One source puts out that he's in Auburn (which then is posted here), but that's obviously false when there is video of him elsewhere. There were reports that he was likely going to Kansas last weekend, but he stayed home and was at the football game with his brother.

Dylan deserves to go through the process at his speed and he's taking additional time. Hanging on every report isn't healthy for us (at least not for me). Sure, there's an excitement to the process of potentially landing the #2/3 recruit, but at this point I'll just get the weekly update in the pod and wait until real news breaks.

The issue is so many prognosticators penciled him in at RU late spring and Dylan isn’t on their timeline he is on his own. I just wish he wouldn’t have given a timeline to make his commitment known in July…that really raised expectations and is a big reason for the angst because we anticipated he would pull the trigger to somewhere. Now we just wait - and that sucks.

He knows it’s a buyers market (for him). Can’t blame him for enjoying the ride.

The comments about the offene/system I find interesting. Makes me wonder if it was part of the reason Hobbs moved on - to bring on someone else and introduce a more dynamic offense and get kids like DH.

Sounds like Dylan is "shopping around". Literally. He's seeing what NIL deals are out there and then seeing how or if RU matches it. Still think he's leaning RU but he has a NIL agent who is doing a pretty good job squeezing as much $ as they can out of it. I mean if Auburn/Kansas offers him way way more than RU then it might be hard to turn down. He's acting no different than anyone else would when looking for a new job. Weighing pros and cons etc

He should visit all those bi**h a** schools
He really should. He’s a kid. In the end if Rutgers is the best fit, so be it. Let RU get the final match offer.
If I’m not mistaken , Schiano used to encourage prospects taking visits. This way there were no second guesses.

Dylan was at an open run with RHJ, Trae Young, Donovan Mitchell, and Obi Toppin in NYC yesterday.

I bet NBA players aren’t regularly hanging out in Kansas or Alamaba during the off-season getting their workouts in!!!

That gym in NYC hosts NBA players working on their game all off season long. Only 45 minutes from Rutgers campus.

Multiple sources indicated a decision may not come until the spring because Harper and his camp want to watch Rutgers’ new style of play.

If this is true I have zero interest. Not that I would blame Harper, but one player for one year too much.
Who the f is his camp?

Nothing wrong with having his Jesus Shutlesworth moment as in the movie He Got Game. The schools will bring out the best they have to try to convince this kid to go to their school. You are only 17 once.
